I doubt Dress U up will make it. It gets on the list every time and it never makes it.

Yeah, you're right neutral I don't know why she wouldn't want to perform it.It's a fun, lively song that will have the crowds going crazy.

Interesting that hardly anything from the last album is in the list and Erotica, Like a prayer and Bedtime Stories are ignored as usual.

Because her last tour was focused so heavily on the last album, maybe she doesn't want to drag those songs out again so soon? hmmm "Hung Up" is a sure bet,but I doubt we'll hear too much else from Confessions.

i have to say, the cross bit was totally tacky. i wasn't offended and i saw nothing religiously offensive/insulting in the way she executed it. i just thought it was poorly done, didn't fit in anywhere, and held merely a blatant goal of grabbing attention.

i'd rather her grab our attention with something provocative AND intelligent and creative. shrug

Any update on that Grandmaster Flash mashup?

Take this with a grain of salt, but here's what I found on another forum:

The second part of the show (Act 2) will contain a mash-up of "Physical Attraction" vs."Genuis Of Love" by the Tom Tom Club vs."The Message" by Grandmaster Flash.....this is a new groundbreaking mash-up,even better than "Music Inferno" from the last tour....it will be one of the highlights of this tour...

That sounds amazing - I've just grown to love Physical Attratcion again. It would be smart to give the whole sound of the tour a retro R'nB / electro vibe. I just hope she gets some musicians who can work the funk for her.

As for inclusions - i simply must insist upon

Borderline (still her best recorded vocal imo)
Into The Groove (know where your bread is buttered madge)
Sidewalk Talk (who the fuck am i kiddin - she probably forgot she even wrote this one)
Open Your Heart (hopefully this is inevitable having been ignored for 4 tours)
Who's That Girl (ignored for 5 tours)
Like A Prayer (classic)
Express Yourself (classic)
Vogue (classic)
Deeepr & Deeper (look upon it as a big concession to her big camp following)
Take A Bow (did she forget this was number one fore ever - never performed it)
The Power Of Goodbye (she cant sing this live - so its pointless)
Hollywood (shes not done this properly on tour)
Push (ive always liked this one - in spite of other fans dislikes - this could be mashed up with tom tom club)

Awhile back,I came up with my own "dream setlist".In recent weeks,I've had time to make a few changes here and there.

MADONNA 'STICKY AND SWEET TOUR 2008' SETLIST

ACT 1---

Intro: video footage of Madonna's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame speech

Candy Shop---let's face it,we know that this is gonna be the opening song lol A long, extended version with a fun call-and-response chant with the audience.

Give It To Me

Dress You Up---she hasn't performed this one in YEARS.The longtime fans will be going crazy at this point.

Dance 2Night---after the rapid pace of the first three songs, this midtempo groover would be an excellent fourth number,to slow things down a bit while still keeping the "dance" vibe going.I heard a rumor that, for this tour,Madonna may have a male backup singer (this makes sense, since there are alot of male vocal parts on the Hard Candy tracks). He could sing the Justin part of this song.

Incredible interlude---During this first costume change, the dancers are doing some amazing moves during this "Incredible" remix. It's a frenzied remix, containing only the phrase "it's time to get your hands up....it's time to get your body movin..."

ACT 2---
Deeper and Deeper---not the slow, jazzy version that we heard on the Re-Invention Tour. No,this is the kickass, uptempo dance version that we know so well.

Justify My Love---a totally new arrangement.....very funky and R&B-flavored.

Secret

To Have And Not To Hold---acoustic guitar version with Madonna siting down on a stool.

Miles Away---acoustic guitar version

She's Not Me---after two sad songs in a row,it's time to have fun again. This is a very campy, hilarious performance with Madonna lookalikes! Really cool choreography.

ACT 3---
Hung Up---(a newly arranged rock version)

Angel---(a new rock version)

Borderline

Like A Prayer---a really powerful version, totally different from the flat version we heard on the Re-Invention Tour.

Devil Wouldn't Recognize You---haunting performance of this song

Video Interlude: Voices

ACT 4---
4 Minutes

Causing A Commotion

Heartbeat

Into The Groove

Beat Goes On (with special cameo from Kanye West on the video screens)

I guess in a few weeks or so,we'll see another one of those sensationalist tabloid articles about the upcoming tour...lol...with a crazy, entirely false headline...

Madonna's New Tour features a steamy dance routine with The Devil

falloff

Remember before the RIT shows,we heard that Madonna would be "electrocuted" on stage (yes, there was an electric chair but it wasn't as dramatic as they made it sound) and that there would be dancing, pregnant nuns during "Papa Don't Preach"...lol...

Before the Confessions tour began,I came up with an interesting dream setlist/concept where each "act" would represent a different dance period....Act 1 would focus on the late-70s disco scene....Act 2 would spotlight the early 80s nightclub scene, and so on and so on.One of the songs I chose for Act 2 was "Sidewalk Talk".Many fans thought I was crazy, lol.I still think it would be a fun song for her to perform.

I could do without "Open Your Heart" boxed I know alot of fans love this song, but it's one of my least favorite Madonna singles.

"Who's That Girl" would be an interesting choice. Some fans think she should perform it in a latin medley with "Spanish Lesson" and "La Isla Bonita".

"Like A Prayer",yes! But ONLY if she's gonna do it right.Remember that lame, flat version we heard on the Re-Invention tour? disbelief I want a live version that has the power and the urgency of the recorded version.Do it right or don't do it at all.

"The Power Of Goodbye"? hmmm I could do without it.I'd rather hear a nice, haunting, acoustic version of "To Have And Not To Hold".

"Push" would be great. It would blend well with the R&B sound of Hard Candy.

i enjoy subtlety much more. i thought the way she utlized christian imagery on the blonde ambition tour was much more interesting than making a disco mirrored cross and standing on it while wearing a crown of thorns. lol it just came off SO desperate to me, like the middle child who's forgotten by his parents and just gets into trouble for the attention it gathers.

yeah, and i think i know why. it's because she couldn't even come close to giving a vocal delivery like this again. the Evita training completely ruined her for growly/gutteral/torchy type of singing, which was kind of really the only thing that her vocal style had going for it to beging with. confused

disappointed that Incredible isn't going to be included. it's gone from a complete waste of space on the album to me to one of my favorites. (oh, and it's still in my signature isn't it? lol)

"Rescue Me" actually got massive amounts of airplay. the reason it didn't go even higher up the chart is because they released the single after airplay had peaked.

nod I feel the same way about "Justify My Love".Both of these songs were obviously recorded very quickly, just to stick on the 'Immaculate Collection'.Neither song is Madonna at her best, but I do like "Justify".It has a certain sleazy charm about it,lol. She should perfom it on this tour, but change the arrangement a little. She should ask Pharrell to help her 'update' it a little....give it a funky,R&B flavor.

I agree that Rescue Me was recorded quickly just to stick on the Immaculate Collection. But Justify My Love is for me one of her all time classics. I think she should definitely try to fit it on the set list for this tour since she hasn't done it for awhile and it fits into the sexy vibe of Hard Candy.
