It would probably look something like this in all honesty

Candy Shop
Lucky Star
Borderline
Material Girl
Give it 2 Me
4 Minutes
Hung Up
Music
Where's the Party
Into the Groove
Papa Don't Preach
Express Yourself
Don't Tell Me
Human Nature
Bad Girl
Deeper and Deeper
Frozen
Devil Wouldn't Recognize You
Rain
Vogue
She's Not Me
Burning Up
Holiday

Take A Bow
Ray of Light
Like A Prayer

I think most fans would be thrilled with a setlist like that!

hmmm...not this one. only 5 of the new tracks? and that encore quite honestly blows.

that set list could lose material girl , where's the party, papa don't preach, devil wouldn't recognize, and take a bow. replace them with la isla bonita, beat goes on, dance 2night, angel, and this used to be my playground. then we'd be close to a perfect setlist!

this isn't really about the tour but anyway, here's a small blurb from Entertainment Weekly, listing some songs that they highly recommend. It seems that everyone believes that this should have been the second single. It's the perfect summer 2008 dance track.Too bad that Madonna and Warners can't see that.

I just got this information that "Like A Prayer" has been added to the setlist. Not sure if is an addition to the setlist or replacing one of the other mentioned songs. It is starting to look a little better. She need to ditch "La Isla Bonita", "Spanish Lesson", "Ray of Light" and "Impressive Instant" for a better a better song selection such as "Express Yourself" "Dress You Up", "Open Your Heart" and "Everybody".

I'm excited for Instant.

I did really want Dress You Up this time. The rumours of Physical Attraction and Angel were great too. Too bad they haven't materialized thus far.

Spanish Lesson will be great.

Ray of Light and Isla Bonita can go for good from her live repertoire far as I'm concerned. Hopefully LAP is replacing one of them.

As mentioned above, the song "Like A Prayer" has been added to the setlist.

Madonnatribe has heard there has been a little change in the Sticky and Sweet tour setlist. The 1989 classic song "Like A Prayer",an all time fan favorite, has been recently added to the list of songs being rehearsed by Madonna. It is still not clear at the moment if the song is in addition to the already existing setlist or if it will replace one of the previously mentioned songs.

Way to go,Maddy! thumbs up! Keep tweaking that setlist until it's perfect!

I agree, especially with "Express Yourself" and "Dress You Up".Those two songs (and possibly "Angel") would make this setlist perfect.

i don't understand how you interchange songs that are so different. i mean, there's choreography involved and the tempo of the songs (ray of light/express yourself, and impressive instant/everybody) are so different from one another. it's not as though you can just use the same choreography for ray of light with a song like express yourself...can you?

changing things at this point would require creating completely new choreography, no? isn't it late in the game for that? when does her tour start?

this makes me think a lot of "leaked info" is BS, stirred up to get people talking and keep them excited until the opening of the tour.

the tour is still over a month out...four weeks for two more numbers? i HOPE THIS is true!!! much as I like Impressive...these two replacements would be a MASSIVE improvement! i love everybody! and express yourself would be soooo much betta than tired ass ROL again. she did the same thing last minute with erotica and isla bonita replacing deeper and deeper and everybody...do it!

its not just the learning of the numbers, its the actual creation. i'd like to think more thought than a week's worth of work would go into such a thing, lol.

that said, i'd much rather hear express yourself than ray of light. i could take impressive or everybody, i love them both.

and where is cherish? damn...she'll never do that but i'd love to hear it.

this is a song it will be used to rework one of the classics in the style the fedde le grand remix has been used for music

It's more than likely that it's for "Like A Prayer", which is actually replacing one of the non-classic tracks, supposedly and unfortunately "Impressive Instant"...

I didn't like the RIT version...it was flat and lifeless. This is one of those songs that she should pull out all the stops for.It should have the same power and urgency as the album version.

Her recent set list that's been floating around is AWFUL!
I'll sell my ticket if she actually wants me to sit through fucking "Spanish Lesson" live. On top of that if she's going to bore us with "Music", "Ray of Light" and "La Isla Bonita" for the umpteenth millionth of a time why bother?
She has great songs to chose from and she always goes for the yawners. "Human Nature"? I hated that song when it was released. Why would I want to see it live? When I hear that she dropped "Dress You Up" from the set list but kept "Impressive Instant" I know she has to be smoking crack. It's also clear that she doesn't listen to anyone. I'm positive her management didn't agree with this ludicrous set list. Of course, she is totally off the mark as usual. What does she care?? She's already made her millions selling the tickets.

If the rumours that "Everybody" is coming back to the setlist are true than that makes my ticket worth it alone.

"Impressive Instant" is a fan favorite. I like the song, I am excited if she'll do that. And I must be the only person on here that actually likes "Spanish Lesson." "Dress You Up" (and "Burning Up") would be phenomenal; she won't do em though. "Human Nature" is also a classic among fans - I think she is trying to balance among old radio hits, fan favorites, and doing as much of the new album as she wants. I get it. It can't be any worse than Drowned World, which was still a great evening.

From reading all of these posts on the site I am getting impression that I am not the only one who is disappointed with the "rumored" setlist. I am just going to wait until the tour starts on August 23. If the rumored setlist is true. I will probably sell my tickets on Ebay or something. They are floor seats (2nd section from the stage, Row 1). I sure as hell do not want to hear La Isla Bonita, Ray of Light and Music---AGAIN!!! It sounds like this is going to be another Drowned World Tour---And That Show Sucked! The only good song was "Holiday". She has a month to finalize everything. She seriously needs to drop Ray of light, La Isla Bonita, Impressive Instant, You must love me, Spanish lesson. She should replace those with Express Yourself, Dress You Up, Everybody, Open Your Heart, Justify My Love, Rain. The only two songs that I am excited to hear are "Into the groove" and "Vogue" along with Borderline. Alo, the best songs on her new cd is "Dance Tonight" and it is not even on the setlist. What the #uck! She is the only performer that I know who does not perform the hits that she is known for on stage. Why? Also, I have read that most of her shows are not even sold out yet. I think it is because of the setlists that she chooses. I do not know about you, but I do not want to pay high ticket prices and hear "shitty" songs.

I've warmed to the setlist since the addition of Like A Prayer. I always expect her to perform the majority of her new album - she's done that since Erotica, and then on top of that you want around several really good classics. She doesnt like repeating herself, so having La Isla Bonita and Ray of light again is a surprise. I forgive Music because thats become someting of her anthem - replace holiday in a way. If youd told me a few months ago that we'd be getting Borderline, Vogue, Into The Groove & Like A Prayer - Id have been delighted. I like that she throws in song like You Must Love Me - something of a random. As much as i wnat her to perform everything i love - i also respect the fact she doggedly wants to change her setlist each time. I think its good fans are pissed shes playing songs like ROL & LIB just because its twice in a row. Shows they too want new stuff each time. Shes too many hits to play a perfect setlist on every tour. Always leave them wanting more.

I'll be bummed if we lose Impressive Instant. Seems like a fun quirky choice and one of my favorites. Not being attached to any of her songs, they always hit me in a different way than I expect when I see hear them live, and I am always surprised by the experience. For instance, I'm not a huge fan of her early work and Lucky Star and Like A Virgin (blech) were two of my favorite numbers in her last show. And whereas Isaac is one of my all-time favorites, it was one of the low points in the last show. So I just take the show as it is, as it's own animal and experience it, rather than projecting all my likes and dislikes onto it before I even see it. But then again, I'm just a casual fan. wink

Yeah but the reality is, the show will open and everyone will be raving about what a great reinvention these songs have had.....or maybe not. I actually dont see where she can go with these now. I certainly dont want the gypsy hoe-down version on LIB. I totally agree with you about not projecting your own likes and dislikes onto it all. How can she possibly please everyone.....shes got so many songs in her cannon - im rarely disappointed. DWT was something of a dissapointment to me, simply because she played it safe with the song arrangements - and i found it cold and somewhat boring, but i loved confessions, even though on paper it wasnt loaded with hits.

As for the setlist itself....there is no way that Madonna can please everybody.I go on the Madonna forums and everyone seems to have a totally different view of what she should or shouldn't perform.Personally,I'm mostly looking forward to the 'Hard Candy' songs.I wanna hear what she does with the new songs and how she'll present them. We're getting nine songs from 'Hard Candy'...that's practically the entire album clapping

My prediction is that we're not gonna see 4 themes. There's no way the first act will have a theme with "Candy Shop", "Human Nature" and "Vogue" in there.

The second act might be just simple dance, after all 3 of those songs are all about dancing.

Act 3 is also a tough one, we got the Spanish stuff, but there's "DWRY" & "MA" that can't be Spanish, so that part won't have a theme as well.

Act 4 is having her playing on the electric guitar, so probably no theme there either...
