oh my GOD, you know who they are/were????

i LOVED their first album and i wish i could find a copy of it on CD somewhere!

i have a couple of cd singles from their first album, but the remixes are pretty crappy and the single mixes only give me about 3 songs from the album altogether.

i tried to get into their second album, and i liked a few of the songs on it but it was nowhere near as good as the first one. it was like zappa and funkadelic meet lovesexy-era prince.

their first album came out in college and i wrote a glowing review of it for our campus paper, and RRR's record label used a quote from my review for an ad that ran in spin magazine! it was my 15 minutes of collegiate print journalism superstardom. lol

I got their first CD (I still have it too batting eyes ) in 92 or whenever it was, after listening to a song on the radio in Stockholm and bought it just because the DJ said Frank Zappa. The other day sextonseven got me their second one for 50 cents and I love that one too mushy I'm all excited about them again, they accepted me as friend on myspace yesterday!
I don't have any of the singles - do they have other songs on them?

is RRR still together?!? lol

i don't remember if i still have their second album. i think i do. i have their first album, but it's on cassette, so i might as well not have it.

i need to check out their myspace page!

i wouldn't be too excited about their CD singles - at least the ones i have are pretty blah. i got one of them as a free promo and the other i found on clearance at tower records for like a buck or something. it's just a bunch of remixes - you know, house mix, instrumental mix, dub mix, blah blah blah. pretty generic. the singles were for "flowers and birds" and "if i only knew".

so you have a copy on cd, do you? that's very good to know. VERY. good to know. whistling

they aren't together any more btw

apparently there was another project called "Fibre" with totally different music.

I'm sure the myspace is a fan page only.

I have the first, s/t album. Outside of All Sewn Up, I didn't care for the disk much.

Got it because it was a Wax Trax/TVT release, I usually grab up anything I see on those labels, being a fan of industrial music.

I just read the wikipedia entry, I didn't know that Tom Jones had covered one of their tracks, that's pretty cool.

That song was a huge hit in Australia, all the cover bands in every corner pub were doing their version of it!
