George Michael - Toronto concert (7/17) with pics! WOW! This was an amazing concert, easily the best show I've ever seen. Clocked in at about 3 hours. The setlist was fantastic (I'm working on it, and will post soon), a very representative mix of classics, Wham! material, current stuff and B-sides (FANTASY? YES!!!!). I cried like a fucking baby during Father Figure and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Meeting Nathan was also a highlight of the evening
The merchandise was really nice. Tourbook is large, full of great photos and well priced ($20). I also picked up: My fav GM song, and this shirt is amazing. YES, it's a ladies' shirt, but it fits me perfectly (I'm too tiny to wear regular concert tees). So cool, with the original Wham! logo! This is a kids' shirt. We were front row, and here are some pics: YES, he wore THE outfit LOL! He had handcuffs hanging out his back pocket. The intermission screen! Slowest clock ever. 20 minutes was more like 30 because each second was 1.5 seconds long The female background vocalist in the back right of this pic was incredible.

I was like 10 minutes away from the ACC last night and wanted to go, but I had a previous commitment to attend to and there was no way out of it, or I totally would have gotten tickets last minute

There's no way he's coming back to ACC right?

His only other Canadian date scheduled is Montreal tonight. I don't know about scheduling - September and October seem pretty busy at the ACC, but he could easily sell out another date if he wished to extend the tour. Last night was completely full.

You weren't the only one who noticed that. Check his Web site for set lists, though it's not always accurate. For our show, it listed The First Time... as part of the first half, but it was the first number in the encore. It also said he performed Praying for Time here, and he did not.

Yes, I watched a bit of it and the documentary seemed pretty good.

oh ok, he was always liked in Toronto, I remember when I was 4 and everyone was playing Faith, and of course Careless Whisper for years and years. I have a lot of relatives that liked him and would have loved to go, I wish I went too.
Though he's not known like before, he's probably more well known here than in the US these days. I will definitely go if he adds another date. [Edited 7/18/08 11:03am]

he's alright, he looked the best in the 80's though, especially when he was with still with Wham, I would bang him if he still looked the way he did in Careless Whisper. I Want Your Sex is such a hot song too, and One More Try is so soothing.

Such an amazing show!
I'll try to youtube the small video clips that I made. I was SO EXCITED that he sang Fantasy! Totally blew me away. I'd go see him again if he returned to ACC!

When I told the lady next to me she was married to Marilyn Manson the look on her face was priceless.
