Knowing how Spike is, he may do that too and think it was all about him telling it. I don't think he was allowed to on "(Malcolm) X" though.

Ilyasah Shabazz was furious with him though after she watched the "Dictionary scene", remember that?

She said "My father took straight As in English and it was his fave subject, yet the movie showed him like the dictionary was the 1st book he ever read".

Totally off-topic, but Qubilah Shabazz and her son Malcolm were living a block away from me when she was arrested with the charge (that was later dropped) of plotting to kill Farrakhan.

She lives in Minneapolis confused

All this time I thought she was living in Philly.

And yes, she was arrested for trying to kill Min.Farrakhan.

I've alays felt that the singer Maxwell should portray Marvin Gaye because he looks alot like him, but he doesn't have Marvin's voice.

Don't worry, if Maxwell is called to play him, they'll lip-sync his live performances/recordings and only have him singing in opportune moments. lol

I wonder if he can get hair atop his lip though. confused

Roman Polanski should direct it and get R Kelly to play Marvin since all 3 have something in common.

Speaking of, I remember in one of the film's final scenes, the one where Malcolm gets killed, was very heartbreaking especially since you know he was shot right in front of his children.

Don't know where you got your info but she was 16. Everybody knows Janice was underage. 18 yeah right. I stand by my 1st comment Roman, Marvin, And Robert all have something in common.

Although he was 33 and Janice 16, the girl's mother "encouraged the relationship," Gaye said.

The lovers holed up in a mountaintop cabin in Topanga Canyon, California. She soon was pregnant, and Nona Gaye arrived in September 1974.
