Other than that, I am listening to a whole bunch of old crap on my itunes and WMP- really digging Stevie, Ne-yo, Crowded House at the moment. [Edited 6/12/08 5:02am] Thriller 25 sucked. What a rip-off! TBH, it's only in "light rotation" for 2 songs: For All Time & The Girl is Mine 2008, but I prefer the demo from the single better. Oh I actually got 4 Jackson 5 albums which I am loving- some of the Motown covers they do are awesome. Seriously though, my music listening at the moment consists mostly of Stevie. www.maximum-jackson.com

this David Axelrod cat *scratches chin* does/did he do movie scores or something "Dr. Carter" sounds like a movie short I have read some interviews with Axe.. the idea was orchestral jazz "with a backbeat" which makes perfect groovin' music. There is a perfect introduction compilation from 2005, compiled by Egon of Stones Throw so it's got alot of the hip hop sampled tracks.

baroque said: I LOVE that Cranes album! I'm assuming you got the reissue with extra tracks, right? That album was the main reason I went to see the Cure during the Wish tour back in 1992 because Cranes were the opening act. Alison was sick and kept coughing through her set. Their albums Forever and Loved are also brilliant. Specimen is my favorite of the Batcave bands. That album is pretty much everything, but I kind of prefer listening to the Batastrophe EP because it sounds more cohesive. It's a shame their reunion tour with Alien Sex Fiend this year was canceled.
