"Love of my life" Erykah Badu-The video This video is not like any Video she eva did LOL simple and cool YET it does have a strong statment who've been throught or ABOUT 2 be throught that kinda place(Even tho it doesn't have 2 do with the song's lyrics). This video means soo much 4 me becoz I've been there and at the end I got on that buss(check out the video and read the sign you may dig what I said). She started as a screwed woman and at the end she started a new healthy life, I think she talks about herself(really!!).
LOL and she can ryhme like what? I love that MClyte cameo, not 2 mention the sistah can bust-a-move(if thats really her ) Ahh I can't wait 4 the LP 2 drop.

I love how she breaks down into that freestyle rap in the scene with MC Lyte... banging out a beat on the walls with her hand took me back to the ol skool days we used to do that on the school walls. THE VIDEO TAKES YOU ON THE HISTORY OF HIP HOP. The words to the song are talking about her love of HIP HOP and has something to do with the movie Brown Sugar so the video has EVERYTHING to do with the song. She's not talking about a man in the song but her love for hip hop culture. WOW...

WOW... you beat me to the punch... the song is called "love of my life (an ode to hip hop)" and chronicles hip-hop through breakdancing to nwa (love the ice cube impersonator) and so forth and so on... i love it at the end where she's surprised to look at the audience and find a bunch of middle class white kids... i think the video is the most perfect video that they could have done for that song...
