What is your Non-Prince, Prince fix?

What do you listen to when you want to feel like you are listening to Prince but you can't play Prince again because you've had his whole discography on repeat for the last 3 weeks straight?

I usually listen to Jamiroquai (esp "Funk Odyssey"), Musiq Soulchild, Erykah Badu and even Gnarls Barkley. Lately I've been listening to the new Plantlife album "Time Traveller". Its probably the best new album I have found so far. What new albums have you guys discovered?

Btw- if you want to hear some of the Time Traveller album goto Plantlife's myspace page:
http://www.myspace.com/plantlife
If only you'd come back to me
If you laid at my side
I wouldn't need no Mojo Pin to keep me satisfied

Mmmm, I would want to play something that makes me dance. It doesn't have to sound like Prince for me to find something. I'd listen to EWF or Stevie or even Donna Summer 70's stuff to find a groove. A lot of early 80's R&B stuff that I have also satisfies me too when I want something funky when I've exhausted all of my Prince stuff.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Dangerous by Michael Jackson, the whole album could pass for tame Prince reinditions, eg Jam, why u wanna trip on me, in the closet, who is it etc...
17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

I guess besides Plantlife I have also been listening to Digitalism and Justice. But for those of you who aren't into this electronic dance music Plantlife is the way to go!

"Get Ready (Interlude)"
"Blue Moon"
"cisuM elpruP"
"Your Brand Of Loving"

all by Chri$topher (aka "me" lol)

uh, some Klymaxx
mainly the MITLR album
(esp. "Video Kid")

there's a song from Van Hunt's
second album that
puts me in the mind of Prince/Sly Stone
the name escapes me right now

bout that time for me
to pull out the new wave records
I had to give em a break razz
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."

I think I know what you mean. Right now I'd have to say

Rick James (including Mary Jane Girls and Stone City Band)

I've never had that problem. eek
Nothing else makes me feel like I'm listening to Prince though.
Maybe do the instrumental Prince but I've never gotten tired of his voice.
Although I've been asked why I don't get tired of it.lol
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I've seen a couple of answers that probably don't fit the thread.
I think the question of the thread was what song or artist that sounds
like prince but isn't prince is your non-prince Prince fix.
Damn what did i just say. lol
For me it would definitely be El debarge's my heart belongs to you
from his after the storm album. It sounds like the kind of funk
prince should have been doing in the early nineties.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
