Loved the fact she didn't go for the ending of the song which everybody and they momma sampled. lol

Actually the "ending" in "Stay With Me" is not just at the end. It's throughout the entire song. She sampled the chorus

Yeah I figure that, lol. I worded it wrong. smile

All i know is that if Nick is in it and its on a beach etc..blah blah blah, im gonna vomit. Looking more forward to the Danity Kane "Bad Girl" video, which had to be toned down for Mtv.

i'm excited it's directed by Chris Applebaum.

now i don't want to get my hopes so high but i'm wondering what he meant when he said this video is going to feature something that was never done before.

Its probably a camera technique or something like that, video directors always talk their videos up and when you see them, its like "so what".

Mariah in a bikini.

Prancing, flaunting, turning her head to the side.

Doing that STUPID smile where she looks upwards and off camera then GRINS!

Tell me, what hasn't been done before?

Mariah's videos SUCK.

They should've released Side Effects, a gritty, MEANINGFUL song for once.

North America, counting Canada and Mexico right?

FLOP ALBUM!!!!

This song is one of the good ones on the album and though Mariah has a nice new body, it doesn't help the song much and the video reminds me too much of Beyonce's Upgrade you.

I hope For the Record is next and that she keeps her clothes on.

I agree, her videos all look the same. They are so predictable and boring. No creativity whatsoever.

What about the directors? Why are they all content with her doing the same thing and looking the same way?

There are maybe 3 in her collection that step a little outside this pattern.

I lost interest in music videos years ago anyway.

I don't understand lambs who call her a creative video artist, I just don't see her in that category at all though I like and own a lot of her music.

I have a feeling that Mariah tells the directors what she wants...."Be sure to get my good side"....."let's do a few more close-ups"...."Put the camera back on my boobs, please" lol So even if the directors have other, more creative ideas, they still have to listen to her predictable demands, lol.

It seems most of the veteran artists put the greatest effort and funding into the first video these days. Madonna's 4 Minutes was decent, but Give It 2 Me sucked major ass. A lot of people thought Touch My Body was some sort of genius (at least it had PRODUCTION VALUES, I'll give it that), but Bye Bye and IBLULT are hot garbage. Ironically, Janet's Feedback was a hot ass mess, but Rock With U was actually great. Either way, you can't win.

Yup, and that's probably why she prefers working with the same ones because they're malleable to her demands. But I think a good director should be able to do that as well as put a new spin on it. But I suspect she really doesn't care about videos. She may like to do them but she's not trying to break new ground or spend millions of dollars.

True, and in her defense, very few artists make truly groundbreaking videos these days. She probably thinks "I'll just show off my body and look sexy in my videos...why bother to do anything more?" lol

She should at least spend the money to make them look decent. When Rihanna is still making videos with decent production values 6 or 7 singles in, there's no excuse for Mariah to be singing in front of a black background on the 2nd video.

i don't get the "wow" factor about or what others are saying about it.. cause this melody/beat is forgettable...

another over hyped song from her latest

it is probably the best song from the album in my opinion,. however I agree that is not up to par with alot of her back single catologue....and this album isnt either.

I really don't get the appeal of this song, I think it must be the fact that the sample has been used about 32 million times and I just don't go WOW.

I don't know... I haven't got into e=mc2 at all sad sorry mariah

Because no one can do anything different. Videos are dead at this point, i think i have seen about 10 creative ones since 1985. Everyone uses the same shots, the same themes, the same angles, and then the directors talk about how they are "different", the usual HYPE talk when you wanna sell the same thing as being different. And its got NOTHING to do with money, its just the lack of talent in the directors who make these things, everyone is painting from the same pallet of paints, thats why no one is doing anything new and you almost NEVER hear someone say, Damn did you see that video!! As for MARIAH she pisses me off because like her albums, she never pulls off GOOD videos, very rare that she does, and im shocked to hear that fans consider her a good video artist, shes good for the camera, thats a big difference than being a good video artist.

Well thats the problem, its more of the same shots. Of course you will play up her SEX appeal, what director wouldnt, but no one "goes there" with her Sex appeal and pushes the envelope, how many times are we going to get bikinis and dolphins, its like Finding Nemo, i mean we get it MC you love the water. The only REAL time that they nailed a Mariah video 100% was "the roof", but since then its been the more playful MC everytime, i mean this video is good if youre Vanessa Hudgens. I mean "touch my body" was agreat example of a MISS chance in video. Totally a waste of video, lyrcially you could have the Hottest video in history, but what we get is a comedy sketch.
