This "Le' Freak" rip off of a cut coming on it's heels in the same year (1978) written about the club Plato's Retreat in New York where u could go to pay to fuck your brains out. The song is cool even though it is a bite off of Chic. They didn't try to hide it though, "Let's all do Le' Freak at Plato's Retreat". Who's hip to this cut?

I remember the song and other instrumental songs of his. I heard stories about the club back in the day from a friend who's from NY and use to DJ parties with me. VH1 did a show which was about the sexual revolution of the 70's. Interviews were giving by the former owners of Plato's Retreat and celeb's and other patrons with very low regards. I believe Nile said he asked a DJ about this song and the artist. Funny thing Nile and Bernard made a hit out of anger (aaahh fuck off) because they couldn't get into Studio54 (another wild spot)... which became the disco floor filler "Le Freak".

I remember this song We have to ask Finess about the Plato's Retreat club.Since he's from New York,I'm sure he hung out there alot,lol.
