Four Seasons of Love

A lot of you here I'm sure are too young to remember this album.
Her second incredible concept album (Bad Girls, being her greatest) although it predates Bad Girls.
Four songs on the album;
Spring Affair
Summer Fever
Autumn Changes
Winter Melody

Thank me later. Spring Affair and Winter Melody
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Fortunately I don't look it.
I would consider posting a pic but not sure how. Not gonna worry about it now.

"Four Seasons" might be my favorite "single" album by her (the doubles "Bad Girls" and "Once Upon A Time" trump it).

The track "Summer Fever" is underestimated and should have been a single.

Do any of you guys have the original album on vinyl? With the exclusive 1977 fold-out calendar? lol I have it! It's quite a collector's item, lol.

I don't own it, but I've seen it in used record stores. For some (dumb) reason, I've never picked it up when I've seen it. It's been a few years.

I love every song on this one...all four of them. lol Five, technically, I guess. I agree with you, Vinny - Summer Fever is hot!

I own it also. My parents had this and as a kid I used to lust at the album cover. She had the sexiest thighs on the planet.

As much as I like this album,I think it suffers from the same annoying problem that we found on the previous albums: her vocals are WEAK! Donna later proved to be a dynamic, powerful vocalist but on the first four albums or so,she was really holding back.Throughout most of 'Four Seasons Of Love',she's not even really singing at all....just whispering and chirping like a pigeon....

oh yes we can!....I know we can!.....ooh yes we can....I know we can!

In an interview, producer Giorgio Moroder admiited that this was intentional. They wanted Donna to sound sexy and inviting,to go along with her "sex goddess" image. So she wasn't allowed to use the full strength of her voice,at this point. After this album,Donna was ready to move on.She said "I had enough" and demanded stronger, more diverse material and the chance to sing with her full voice."Black Lady",from the next album 'I Remember Yesterday',gave her a chance to really sing like never before.

One of her best songs.

I got this CD too and I love it. Disco and funk, a winning combination and no one did it better than Donna. Spring Affair, Summer Fever and Autumn Changes are the hotness! I'm not much of a fan of her ballad but I like Winter Melody a lot. I love it!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
