CONCERTS! What have you seen? What WILL you be seeing?

I haven't had a huge concert year so far... but here's what I got:

Ani Di Franco
Alice Smith
Ministry
The Vines
The Duke Spirit

and here's what's coming up...

Bryan Adams (free tix)
The Raconteurs
Beck
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Cheap Trick (tribute to the Beatles)
NIN pray I get tix!

Wish list:
Radiohead
The Cure

...and a smattering of classical by the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl over the summer.

WHO HAVE YOU SEEN / ARE YOU GONNA SEE?

*** And I am SO jealous of those of you who have Lolla tix fit
wink

Hmm, so far this year:

Europe
Bernard Fowler's Bad Dog
Alicia Keys
Chuck Berry and Ben Waters/Chris Jagger
Serj Tankian
Kylie Minogue

planning to see

Europe + Queensryche + Alter Bridge
Prince
Kiss
Cavalera Conspiracy
The Bangles
Billy Idol
Metallica
Twisted Sister
Madonna
Janet

later this year!

And somehow I hope to squeeze in Queen + Paul Rodgers... but I'm afraid that will collide (and have to be sacrified) with Janet in New York!

i really wanna go, but the last time i looked, the best tix available were crap. and that was for the pricey seats. pout

so, no tickets yet. i'll probably end up prowling craig's list, ebay and the rest of the moneygrubbing savages out there. sigh

I just saw The Raconteurs last night - anyone who has a ticket to one of these shows is SO lucky - it was fantastic! So far, the best concert I've seen this year. Jack White is an AMAZING performer and musician and the combination of he, Brian Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler is nothing less than dynamic. They are a no-nonsense act who command your full attention with nothing but the music as they plow into their set list song by song - one after another - all great selections from their two CDs. Rock - blues - ballads.

***** I HIGHLY recommend.
