Albums I'm feeling as of late...

Queen Latifah,Black Reign (1993)
I've been listening to this record a lot over the course of this year. I've been jamming "Superstar," "Rough", and "I Can't Understand" nonstop. Also, "Just Another Day" was my summer song of 2002. I just recently discovered how wonderful this album is. I want to thank Queen Latifah for this gem. Originally, I just listened to a few tracks (the singles), but the whole album is so coherent! I love it.

Billy Lawrence,Paradise (1997)
I've always adored this record since its release. It's a beautiful album with lush ballads and beautiful music. Billy's vocals are heaven-sent. I wish she'd make another record.

Ms. Dynamite,Little Deeper (2002)
This chick just came out of nowhere with an incredible record. It's an import right now, but if it were released in America, I think the mainstream would act stupid with it and not promote it right. This album and artist deserve to blow up. The song "All I Ever" is my bedtime song. Plus, I love a majority of the tracks. I'm not disappointed at all. Recommended.

Darius Rucker,Back To Then (2002)
One of the best records of the year, IMHO. I love each and every song on the album and that's rare for records nowadays. "Butterfly" is song I jam a lot lately.

Billy Lawrence,One Might Say (1993)
Great album. Her debut is stellar, you have to check this out. I love every song to pieces.

Justin Timberlake - Justified This is one of my favorite cds of the year so far. Justin made the album that MJ tried to make.

prince - Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic: For some reason I pulled this out and can't stop listening to it. I am really feeling Baby Knows, Wherever U Go Whatever U Do, and The Greatest Romance

Janet - All For You: The slow tracks on this album are masterpieces. Would You Mind touching me, ever so slowly, u missed a spot...there. I just wanna touch u tease u lick u ride u make u cum 2.--DAMN!!!

The Philadelphia Sound Boxed set (3cds). Ever track on this set is wonderful. I love Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The O'Jays, Joe Simon and all of the old cats.

Marvin Gaye - Live at the London Palladium: This album is wonderful. Not necessarilly his best live album, but it's not too shabby...especially since Got To Give It Up is at the end.

Luther Vandross - Your Secret Love: This has to be one of the most underrated Luther albums ever. Crazy Love is a sheer masterpiece. So is Whether Or Not The World Gets Better with Lisa Fisher.

Friedman & Liebezeit - Secret Rhythms (Psychedelic Neodub from Germany by chief avantgarde electro master Burnt Friedman and the drummer of legendary krautrock band Can, Jaki Liebezeit...taste it) stoned

Roots Manuva - Run Come Save Me (takes hip hop to new levels IMO)

Roots Manuva - Dub Come Save Me (only a few dub versions, mostly new tracks. and boy do they burn!)

Jimi Tenor & UMO Big Band - Live @ The Tavastia (a very friendly person from Finnland taped this concert for me from Finnish Radio - experimental big band jazz/funk from a musician who really plays from the heart, be it working the synthie and the sampler while accompanied by two horns in a living room-sized underground club [as seen last sunday in Hamburg] or with a full band and a 20-piece orchestra [like last year, also here in Hamburg]. great stage persona too.)

Cinematic Orchestra - Diabolus EP (nice little release. atmospheric nu jazz) blunt

Parliament - Mothership Connection (guess I don't have to add any info)

Tom Petty - Wildflowers (dug this alltime classic out after his new album kinda turned me off. great production by Rick Rubin, not one single song that sucks. at all.)

Lamb - What Sound (simply beautiful electronic pop gem. they left the drum and bass arena almost completely. a little experimental still, but mostly pop. in a good way.)

Ween - The Mollusk (perhaps their most interesting album. to those who know it: I recently rediscovered "Pink Eye [On My Leg]". what a great song! nuts)
