Rihanna's new single, "Disturbia"

Fantastic! Another uptempo club jam, and even better in HQ. The summer jam of '08. This is the single for the rerelease of Good Girl Gone Bad.

How many fucking hits this broad gonna get before people start taking her seriously? lol

Hits dont matter its style, and her singing is still flat and has been from day one. Shes great to look at, got a nice body, but like Christina Aguilera her attitude is a little too diva like this early in the game. She just has this flatness in her voice, very monotone, which made her pairing with Maroon 5 perfect because she was with the most "monotone" band in history, though they arent really a "band".

Hey its just an opinion, which im sure others will have about her. I give her props for catchiness, but just as others see no "growth" in Alicia Keys, im still not seeing "growth" in Rihanna, vocally and with her style.

Both are! The bitch won't stop. smile Unlike Beyonce, though, I don't mind it.

Take A Bow is a bland-ass track, though. This is much, much better.

If so, that must have been a disturbing experience.

You know what's strange? I Really, really, really like most of Rihanna's songs...the music, lyrics and all that. But her VOICE can really get on my nerves.

New single....doesn't she already have two out? I guess it's more about quantity than quality, huh? She is cranking out some decent hits in the mix. That new Maroon 5 song sucks hard, though.

Why re-release an album that came out a couple of months ago? Why is everyone doing that? That sucks! And what's up with all these "special editions", "deluxe editions" etc...? What a waste of plastic!

Well "Umbrella" is the best song on that same album from which the rest of these singles are still derived from. shrug

The album is good though.

True, one GREAT thing i saw was last year when Hollywood/Universal got hold of 3 new Hilary Duff tracks right after she started her DIGNITY tour and wanted to Re-issue her DIGNITY cd, she had them pull it back citing that she felt her loyal fans would be the only ones buying it, so why rip them off for 15bucks for 3 songs, she recorded a new album set for a late 2008 release with a dvd live.

I don't like it. It sounds too much like Madonna's Hollywood and some early 80's stuff but not as good

Crazywonderful

The Umbrella singer - who is rumoured to be dating R’n'B star Chris Brown - admits she enjoys spicing up her sex life by wearing her often revealing and provocative costumes at home.

She said:“I like to push the envelope sometimes. It depends on the mood and the occasion. It’s always fun to take some home. Sometimes I get to do that.”

That statement is as contrived as the career-changing haircut her A&R rep suggested.

She's adamant about forcing this "bad girl" image down our throats. Sorry, Rihanna: You "date" a dude that looks like he still goes to recess in the middle of the day. Sit down.

But you know what? I get it. You're edgy. You're innovative. You're a trend setter. Go you.

Happy now?

I think that's great that she embraces her inner S&M freak, but when are people going to ask her some serious questions like:

1. Have you learned how to dance yet?

2. Are you working on how to not sound like a goat when you sing?

3. What are you doing to make sure that in five years some younger, prettier, freakier chick with less shame and vocal talent than you comes out and tries to send you back on a boat to Barbados?

Or better yet, why do you refuse to release "Breakin' Dishes?" Why has your label instead opted for this generic "Disturbia" instead? Have ya'll heard it? So mad at the 'bum bum be dome' shit she's doing. Sounds like something Scooby and the Gang runs to.

Bring the whip to the studio next time!

Phew! And here I thought only classic albums should be re-released! We still don't have Prince's remastered work. But here everyone needs to get the special edition of a year old album! Even the master of re-releases, Michael Jackson, waited 7 years before re-releasing Thriller in 2001, then in 2008.
