The ones expected this year with no actual release date:

Maxwell
Whitney Houston

Over the next few weeks I'll pick up the new ones from Usher, Donna Summer and Alanis Morissette.

Two of my favorite artists have already released new albums this year lol

But I could really use a new Jamiroquai CD! I hope they release it soon.I'm starving for some new Jamiroquai jams.

Prince and Jamiroquai. Even if some of the older artists would release a new album, I wouldn't be excited about it, nor would I buy them, because I would know that the album would be some sellout shit to the current sound with not one damn fast track on the whole album. Hell, even Rick James sold out so you know these are some fucked up times. lol However, Prince and Jamiroquai on the other hand, are the only ones that can deliver some actual jams.

Alanis Morrisette on June 10th, heard it all already and have a downloaded copy but want the real thing not some crap sounding mp3.

Jewel on june3rd for the same reason
Coldplay on June 17th to see how much they bite a-Ha on this record
John Mellencamp on July 15th
Rick Springfield on July 29th

and these that dont have confirmed dates

Styx due in July
HEART due in September
Air Supply due in August
Richard Marx due in August
a-Ha due in September/October
Ryan Adams well he has a few coming out
Norah Jones there are 2 things that are coming out but its on the dL
Inxs due in August
Bon Jovi due in the fall
Shakira due in the fall
Amerie due in 2008
Cassie (of course) due in September so everyone can trash her
U2 due late 2008 but rumour is that it wont be till 2009
No Doubt same reason as U2

Just bought Magne F,Morten Harket and Savoy all 3 a-Ha members solo releases all released on the same day, kind of like TLC wanted to do, except this had no stupid wager and the albums are fucking great.

After Donna Summer's came out last week, I might be set (unless Bowie might consider breaking this five year absence with a new album).

Well you know rick's album was released 3 years after his death
so he probably never really finished the album the way he would have wanted the finished product to sound because a few of the tracks did sound dated.

I don't think there was much more he was planning to do to those tracks to make them sound better. It was obvious he was trying to appeal to today's mainstream with those god awful shit hop sounding drum machines and an album full of nothing but slow and midtempo tracks with not one ounce of funk on it. It was a disgrace to his good name.

It really tripped me out when I read about Rick finally complimenting Prince for being one of the very few people around today that keep funk alive. That statement made me think that Rick was going to come back hard and jam but it's obvious he needed money so he had to sellout hoping the dull asses would like him. I saw a reporter on the news at the time of his death outside Rick's residence. It was just a normal, everyday apartment building.
