For the record I really liked Damita Jo. so what kind of music do you like????? please don't tell me Kylie or Madonna No, both their last albums are terrible. Right now current artists I'm into are The Heavy, Eli 'Paperboy' Reed, Amy Winehouse of course provided she can do the difficult third album, The Answer, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Kylie Auldist and I'm still very very much into Prince. Now most of them may not have chart success, but that's not what they're after with the msuic they make. Janet clearly is. If Janet (and Michael) want to start making real music again and not trying to chase after the success of people half their age then their lack of chart success in the last decade wouldn't come into account.
