I reckon part of her problem over the last few years has been her complete ignorance of her overseas audiences. So she's a superstar in the US and not many other places, but in the 80s and 90s she was still a viable star with one or two big singles per album. There came a point around 2001 where she decided just to make music to cater for the US and the record company releasing some of the weirdest songs as singles.

Take Damita Jo - she comes to Europe to promote the monstrosity that was Just A Little While, it tanks and she just heads back to safe old America and never looks back. Then when some actual good songs get released, she ignores them and no-one ever hears/plays them. After 'Nipplegate' I think loads of places were more than willing to embrace her after the laughable reaction in the US media.

... then came the last 2 albums for which there's not a single song on either of them that could ever be considered as decent radio/download hits in Europe

MJ fans have nothing to be jealous about, and Janet fans have nothing to be jealous about. Why be jealous of music you're not interested in? Another completely ridiculous fanwar.

Just A Little While was a big fat flop getting to 15, which is pretty crap for any single that's been promoted by the artist which she did. Janet hasn't had a Top 10 hit in the UK since 2001. OK, maybe that AWFUL Beenie Man song a couple of years later. The fact that the re-re-release of Billie Jean from the Visionary series was more successful than any Janet single from her last 3 albums speaks volumes.

I don't get what's to be jealous of, especially since she has fans who memorise meaningless first week sales figures. Like what's the point of weighing up Damita Jo beating janet's first week sales when it dropped off immediately whilst janet hung around the top for years?

2004, we got The Way You Love Me, Beautiful Girl, and We've Had Enough

and got alot of unreleased songs(officially released and bootleg) so I'm cool.

All I want at the moment is more unreleased songs and a Bad Tour DVD
