"Early" Chicago Appreciation

Inspired by the recent vinyl dig of Dirty Chris, some deeper cuts from Chicago's earlier albums.

...Introduction - Early tune, later band w/Bill Champlin singing the late Terry Kath's part.

...Question 67 & 68 - from Chicago Transit Authority

...South California Purples - from Chicago Transit Authority

...It Better End Soon - Original band live

...Dialogue - 2 versions here.

1) Original promo - Includes disturbing images but drives the point of the song home.
Could be considered NSFW or anytime.

2) Original band live.

...Mother

...Goodbye - From Chicago V

you forgot "Fancy Colors" lol That's on one of the early albums...part of a lengthy medley/suite.Love that one!!

Several years ago,I collected all of Chicago's 70s CDs,which have been remastered.I see why you're focusing on the early albums, those are truly the best.

There are tons of great tunes on those early albums.
I tried to pick a few that don't normally get heard.

Their first album...

...is a must have for those that want perspective on where they started.

Especially if they're only familiar with the Cetera/Foster takeover years. smile
Thank goodness Rhino had the sense to re-release it.

Have you noticed how many of their early songs were written by keyboardist Robert Lamm.
Unfortunately, he seemed to get phased out of their later period.
