Z Cult Fave/Ben E. King "Supernatural Thing"

This song by Ben E. King is hella cool. From 1975, "Supernatural Thing" is a cut that doesn't get a lot of hype. I think it's underrated, myself. But I've always dug it. I still have the 45 single. Who else digs it that doesn't mind posting?

Now you know that I would be all up in this thread lol I love this song! That's a cool, funky midtempo groove.Takes me right back to spring '75 when great songs were all over the radio.Carlos Santana has played this song at numerous shows...it's one of his favorites.

Yep,...many songs from 75 all had this.....thing about it. The mix had a lot to do with it.

I dig it, always have. That was a his first hit for Atlantic.
I have most of his Atlantic years on vinyl. I've mentioned this cut in the past, and @times whenever Benny's name would pop up here. I've also talk about him with AWB on Benny & US, esp. A Star In The Ghetto , Get It Up For Love a time or two.. But I most definitely cut for this Benny song the guitar riff, the bass play, the bg singers, that tom beat on the 2and4... music to Mon ears.

The interplay between those 2 guitar parts lock the track together.

Man,...it's ALWAYS like that. I always get a grip of "views". Which I think is weird. I don't ever open up a thread that I have no interest in. But if the thread interest me, then I always post. But u know....
