my mama had this one
and Lady Soul on vinyl when I was a kid... she loved "Rock Steady" when I got to be an adult I went back to the album and fell in love with it as a whole my fav from there is probably "Daydreaming" or "Oh Me Oh My" because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." | |

Love this album. rock steady has always been one of my favourite Aretha cuts, but this also has Oh Me Oh My & First Snow in Kokomo - two massively underrated Aretha gems.
The only song i cant get with it her version of Otis' "Ive been loving you..", and thats because it just makes me want to put Ike & Tinas version on....Tina sings the shit out of that song. Cant really imagine Aretha gettin dirty with a mirophone..... | |
