50 Cent performed in Angola, Africa last night and left with a few less pounds of diamonds. At around the 1:40 mark in the above video, we see somebody leap on stage from out the crowd and jack 50’s chain from off of his neck. I hear that they never caught the culprit and 50 never got his ish back. I guess this is what happens when your one candy shop diamond chain could feed a whole damn village.

SOHH why am I hearing that the jewelery Curtis had on wasn't even real? According to my source it seems that Fiddy isn't all that upset over the chain snatching because they were high quality fakes.

Now I don't know if I beleive that one or not, but hey I thought I'd just pass along the information.

A G-Unit insider tells TMZ that what folks couldn't see was 50 actually jumped off the stage to follow the thief -- and punched the man who tried to jack him.
When asked what the end result of the scuffle was, our source replied, "The chain is around 50's neck right now."

That what that fool gets for his ignorance. You don't show up in one of the most notorious and dangerous locales known for it's blood diamond industry that alternately funds dictatorships and civil wars and NOT expect to get your shit jacked.

Didn't anybody brief him about the political situation in Angola? There's a lot of blood money tied up in the Angolan diamond trade and it's a major location for mining what is known as "conflict diamonds".They got off the official list for conflict diamonds a couple a years ago (after decades of coups, wars, ect.), but on the down low it's STILL a very hot spot. The diamonds prop up the backdrop for internationally recognized human rights abuses, weapons smuggling, guerilla warfare, civilian murders and arbritary detentions by the police and supresssion of civil rights. I didn't see how big it was, but forget about 50's chain feeding folks- if it's big enough, it's going to be used to fund a smuggling gang or rebel militia's coffer.

As for them not catching the thief. It would be a wonder if they did. Nobody is going to help 50 get his measley chain back. This is not New York street culture where you can make things happen by way of a pistol or calling the police. Anybody connected with that snatching, whether the perp or the witnesses wouldn't dare botch that up, because unlike the US, where you get shot or sent to jail, in Africa they will cut your toungue out. They take the concept "NO SNITCHING" to levels we have never seen at home . For real.
