Who remembers this 1983 Prince-sounding jam by Sexual Harrassment? These are the guys who sing "I Need A Freak".Their album is an underrated funk classic...it's like an updated 'Dirty Mind'.

It's a very Prince-like album.These guys were HUGE fans of Prince and the Minneapolis sound.In fact,in 1985 they released a single called "We Want Prince"....a tribute song to their hero.

In addition to "I Need A Freak" and "If I Gave You A Party",that first album also includes "K-I-S-S-I-N-G",another naughty Prince-styled funk jam,and the hilarious "Exercise Your Ass Off".

It's worth hunting down.

I always liked "I Need a Freak," but am I the only one who finds the rap to be a little Rod Serling-ish? I always picture the rapper on this song holding a cigarette and wearing a black suit.

I've only heard "I Need A Freak" and "We Want Prince". I wish I could find their album.

I know We Want Prince is uber-rare, but the I Need A Freak EP seems to be pretty obtainable.

They were a very 'underground' band.In my area,only "I Need A Freak" got any airplay.It bbecame a huge radio and club hit in late 1983 here in the Bay Area.They released a 6-song EP in 1983 and the "We Want Prince" 12" single in 1985 before they just disappeared.
