Didn't Rick write that song about actress Linda Blair? Either way it's a great song, one of my faves by him.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I was shocked when I read that it was about Linda.

"Cold Blooded" introduced a whole new Rick James sound....stripped down electrofunk. This was much different than the songs on 'Street Songs' and 'Throwin' Down'.

Love this one! And, yes, about Linda Blair. He saw cold-blooded as a compliment. lol Linda sure loved those rock star Ricks. First Springfield (when she was 15-years-old), then James.

Mine just arrived yesterday. I got it used for like $9 on amazon. I really want the CD but can't find anything under $150, so I got it on Vinyl instead. My cassette wore out years ago.

In fact there are 5 used for sale right now ranging from $10 to $15.

Damn, good call. I just expect it to turn up eventually.. I'm in no rush.

Didn't realize the CD went for that much. You KNOW something needs to be re-released when the market price (demand) is that high.

It was his last good song. His last good album was street songs. Throwin' down was just a musical cheap rehash of street songs.

Throwin down is a classic

with songs like

"dance wit me" "standing on the top" "she blew my mind(69 times)"

the cold blooded album isnt even close to it

With only like 60% of the cassette cover being the square record album art, then the titles listed on the bottom. lol
