Her accent was slightly strange, but she had charisma to burn. I don't know what the hell happened after that. If I had just seen her from late 2004 onwards then there wouldn't even be a hint of positivity in my comments because by then she'd morphed into an over-inflated poser, and her vocal cords started to get damaged from too much yelling. Also she started writing her own material and it was all shit. She simply isn't a good enough songwriter to be writing her own stuff. The third album had better music and was more funkier but the songwriting was poor and not memorable compared to Amy Winehouse's Back To Black album Introducing Joss Stone was a flop. The best song was Music because it had Lauryn Hill of course! The other songs like Put Your Hands On Me and Headturner was plain annoying. I think the thing is that we got excited over for about a second but after seeing how MTV and VH1 have been promoting her we see that there are better talent than her. Her voice is boring it is bland, limited and nothing behind it. | |
