Six years? The prosecution's problems with the timeline of the video. And of course there's the girl and her parents basically not saying anything. And the girl involved in the alleged threesomes. That's what killed the case for the prosecution. We'll know soon why the jury decided what they decided. yeah....I need to chill out for a second. This shit has me too angry goes listen to N.E.R.D "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Who are you gonna believe, orgers? Him or your lying eyes? The prosecution didn't have a strong enough case, it seems, to present to the jury. Anyone who has sat on a jury or involved in the law, knows that it's not whether the accused is guilty or not guilty; it's how the case is presented to the jury. The prosecution thought it had an open and shut case with the video tape. Both Kelly and the "victim" claimed it wasn't them. In the absense of a cooperating victim, the defense just had to bring in enough non-credible people, of which there are MANY in the music business, to sow the seeds of reasonable doubt. If the jury wasn't 100% sure that he did it, they had to declare him not guilty. Ain't no such word as "innocent" in a courtroom. Given the results and the money involved, Kelly is going to have to watch himself. If he even looks at a girl the wrong way, the civil law suits are gonna shower down on him like Chocolate Rain. That is true. That's why Michael and O.J. were acquitted. The prosecution's cases weren't strong at all in either. Of course, I believed that MJ was set up, I still believe OJ was guilty and Robert, well we know about him and girls. It's clear the prosecution did a lot of missteps in that case as well. That's why I'm not mad. Let Kells destroy his career and let God deal with him. I'm done with it. me too. I'm still gonna talk shit about his music but other than that, I'm through "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Anyone else need proof that Friday The 13th is unlucky as hell? How about that?! And I agree with you, his career might be bigger than ever as a result, judging how things have been with him since 2003. I could see kids losing their minds cheering him on on 106th and Park. Justice was SO not served today. And the folks at the BET Awards (they haven't aired yet have they?) are probably planning a special tribute to this freak.

It is pretty ridiculous. On another note, I'm not surprised by this. How could the jury find R. Kelly guilty with no cooperation from the victim? It's very, very difficult to do that.

R. Kelly Jurors: No Doubt It's Him on the Tape
Posted Jun 13th 2008 6:10PM by TMZ Staff Even though jurors in the trial of R. Kelly absolutely believed it was him on the tape, they could not reach a guilty verdict because they said there was "not enough evidence to prosecute." Huh?! Five of the twelve jurors met with reporters immediately after handing down the acquittal. They said that as recently as this morning, the vote was split nine to three for a guilty verdict, but that fell apart as they voted -- on the hour, every hour -- because the alleged victim hadn't testified and refused to cooperate. The jurors also say they were absolutely disgusted with the tape. They said unlike the bootleg version you can buy on the street corner, what they saw was "clear as day." Ew. But because the victim hadn't testified, they felt they had no option but to acquit. We're hearing R. Kelly will be partying it up tonight in Chicago. We've got room keys! --- "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

We've got room keys! --- That's exactly what I thought about the verdict. I can see where this actually makes sense to acquit him, even though they know by common sense that he is guilty of fucking underage girls. The problem has to do with the legal standard of reasonable doubt, and without the testimony of the "victim" or her parents, there's no way they could legally claim that he was guilty of child porno. Had either the victim or her parents testified in the case, they could have opened up the whole issue with perjury ("That ain't me on that tape.") and obstruction of justice ("Did R. Kelly pay you off for your silence?"), which probably would have been enough to convict R. Kelly.

I wish I didn't know what the jurors know. That makes me more upset. altho I shouldn't be because I KNEW this was going to happen. I think he needs to lay low for a few decades. Yeah, I know he's got his sick fan base that will buy anything he scraps together but I'm thinking most people with any sense of a moral compass aren't looking to see his mug anytime soon. In other words, he can go right on BET and receive the Sammy Davis Jr. award or whatever atrocity they decide to come up with to 'honor' the 'genius'. They don't know their left from their right anyway. [Edited 6/13/08 19:37pm] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
