the complete jack johnson I recently got this set and it is really better than I expected. It is so well done and really jams. I haven't even gotten to take it all in. This is a really primo box set and if anyone likes funky music with a rock touch, you gotta get this. I almost didn't even want to open it. It's so beautiful that I may buy another and just keep it wrapped.
By the way, I also had no choice but to order the japanese dsd version of We Want Miles. Again, I don't know why we can't get these sound mixes in the states without ordering these special versions. They do such a fantastic job.You hear things in the mixes that you don't hear on the domestic cd's. I just don't understand it! It is worth it to me,though, because I spend so mucjh time listening to Miles. Prince needs to take cues from this,as well. I have had to re-purchase agharta, pangaea, black magus,we want miles, and in concert so far. I am so in favor of the sound quality on the box sets I have gotten. They do have japanese versions of those,I think, but I can't pay $250.00 or something crazy for just one. I don't think it's necessary ,though, anyway. "I'm a pig..so,magic elixir I swill"

I agree, I wish I wish they had the same standards over here, from the audio quality down to the packaging itself.... ... Things are pretty satisfactory with the US box set pressings, but you have to have the Japanese 24 bit DSD pressings of Agharta, Pangaea and Dark Magus and all the live Miles sets. The mix is so much clearer and the edits are smoother and less abrupt (the US pressings clip the final minutes). test

Another thing, "Go Ahead John (Part Two A)" almost sounds like a lost Prince demo. All in all, this is my fave set of the three I have so far. I gotta get the On the Corner Sessions, too.
I just ordered Avignon and Live in Munich because I had to have "Call It Anything"! After "Corner",I will chill on purchasing a while. "I'm a pig..so,magic elixir I swill"

Are we talking about the mellow surfer Jack Johnson?
I like to put on his music when I feel like taking a nap. Seriously. If you will, so will I

I like to put on his music when I feel like taking a nap. Seriously. No they're talking about the Miles Davis: Jack Johnson Sessions. It's a box set of out-takes from the original recordings. To the point of the original poster, it's kickass and I need to pull it off the shelf and listen again. Funky, sparse in places, rockin in other places...
