The Osbourne's : 20/20 Interview

Did anyone see the interview last night? Any thoughts on the subject matter?

I watched it and I thought it was very, very sad. Ozzy is so f**ked up from drugs and alcohol and he's so burnt. If Sharon loses her battle to colon cancer he'll probably drink himself to death or overdose on drugs. I was surprised to learn how insecure he is. People all over the world love him and he thinks everyone hates him. So sad.

I was also surprised to hear that Sharon and Kelly wish they never did the show. 2 more seasons and that's it, I really can't blame them.

I found it to be kind of depressing. The kids are so f'd up. However, I think Amy (the one kid not on the show) is beautiful, and seems to be the most intelligent one...I feel bad for Sharon too, I think she thought about the $$ & publicity for Ozzy before thinking what this show might do to her family. I hope she makes it through her illness...but the odds are not good when cancer makes it to the lymph glands.

I have to admit though I will be watching this coming up season and like Kelly's new song...

I don't think her kids are that fucked up, maybe just spoiled. Everyone says they are so dysfunctional, yeah they swear a lot but they still love each other and they do show it...just in a different way wink

I guess just the fact that they all dropped out of school, and their reasons why they did were incredibly stupid...and,yeah,they are extremely spoiled...but how could they not be with this kind of success.

F'd up is a bit harsh but it made me depressed because it seemed Sharon regrets doing the show since it has chanaged them, especially their children.

Yeah dropping out of school isn't so smart...they could at least get tutored but they don't even do that. I was surprised and a little embarrassed for Sharon when she said her children could read and write very well and that's all they needed. confuse I think it's because she blames herself for bringing them into this.

My mother has (had) breast cancer, (& is a survivor.) so I can relate to Ozzy's sadness. He can't even bring himself to speak about it without breaking down. That made me tear up -- I am the same way when I speak of my mother's illness.

I saw Ozzy walking around at UCLA without bodyguards last April and now I have recurring dreams about him and his family.
I think he is a very artistic and sensitive person but he needs to come away from the dark side. The show is mainly popular because he is a rock icon. I feel kind of sorry for him. Why does someone not put him into a rehab program?
I also think that the cussing and dropping out of school makes them look stupid. Maybe I will invite them to my church to get some guidance.

I was disgusted when I heard them say they were all dropouts. If they weren't famous and loaded, they wouldn't get away with that. Even crappy jobs want you to at least have a high school diploma. I hope they fully realize that, and appreciate all that they have.

I doubt that would ever happen! Kelly and Jack are spoiled rotten. Amy seems like she has a good head on her shoulders though...did she drop out of school as well?

Yes. All five of them are dropouts. Amy's reasons were because she was real depressed at the time and has dislexia.

Jesus! I was depressed in high school too but I didn't drop out! I don't understand why they at least didn't get schooling at home or something. Someday they will regret it. It's too bad actually.
