Quit all this homeless bashing, some are victims of poverty. i don't care if you're homeless or a member of the Kennedy family. if you're using a public space, you respect the people around you. period.

[Edited 5/20/08 18:52pm] are you talking about the skinny latino looking guy in the olive t-shirt? i think personally, i would opt more for the guy with the beard and the blue shirt at the end of the line, who's talking to the blonde chick. though points off for him being straight. i don't like to bogart the het'ra ladies' man-stash. bad form.

Uncle Lou's just started hosting a program on SIRIUS with Hal Wilner. I tuned in to some of the first show and it was a pretty eclectic mix. You can probably check it out with SIRIUS' three-day preview thingy. As for Red Sovine, I used to have a running joke with a friend of mine that he was launching a comeback, using the Internet as his new angle (in place of the CB).

I've been gone so long I had no idea they had this new-fangled building for the library. But my question is, what is this trend of libraries imitating shopping malls? They put in a similar boat in San Francisco...overhauled the historical library for some modern ship with a foyer five floors high, very few walls. It's like a symphony hall, now, you can hear every whisper. What ever happened to libraries being quiet?

yeah, the MPLS downtown library is really amazing in its design and i was (and am) very impressed, but it does lack in the stateliness that i associate with a good, old skool library. not that i'm complaining. but i was taken aback a little bit when i realized this library had a giftshop and a cafe. it took me a minute to figure out where the actual LIBRARY was.
