I hope a track or two from DJ (and maybe just one good song from "20 YO") make the playlist, but it seems very doubtful.

Of course she will play songs from those two albums... I mean, it's a chance to break up the show a bit, do some songs she's never done before! I'm sure she will at least play 2 songs each from those albums... maybe she will go the medley route... but she certainly won't ignore those albums!

And about tour info.... it's about time... I need to plan my touring fall! It would be great to catch all 3 on a trip to the US!

falloff

just like her brother she is lazy when it comes to touring.

Of course? I think she forgot she made most of those songs! I believe she dismissed DJ pretty quickly after the positive press coming out for "20 YO" made it seem like it could have been a hit. I know Jermaine kept saying it wasn't urban enough! I think in reality, maybe one song a piece but more likley it will be only one song from BOTH! Sadly, it will probably be the biggest hits from each, both of which were lifeless ("I Want You"/DJ and "Call On Me"/20 YO). "All Nite" is a fan favorite, but does she remember or care and/or do her people.!

Well, we'll see.... she did perform "All night" on the promotion rounds... I saw that live and I'm sure she will do that one at the show as well... also she has been preparing a tour for "20 Y.O."... she will do some of the routines they already had.... I'm pretty much sure about that.... but of course, only time will tell! wink

What "Janet" and "Dream Street" were to the eighties, "Damita Jo" and "20 YO" are to 2000s! And the sad thing is, all four albums, even though of not great quality, deserve better. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if by the time she hits the road it is not for "Discipline" but a Virgin "Greatest Hits" and she purely goes for the hits. Sadly, I love her, but that's what she seems to be comfortable with...a sure thing! She might do "Feedback" as a new song.

...no, it's not the same... "Janet Jackson" and "Dream Street" is the music her father wanted her to make! "Damita Jo" and "20 Y.O." is the music she made (wanted to make)... even though it wasn't a commercial success she will be adamant to show that the songs weren't that bad after all!

I'm hoping, though, you are more right than I am and for something great and different. If she comes here, I'll see her!

That makes 2 of us! wink wink

It's a wait and see thing but if she does not do any of those tracks on tour, it will not be about bad music, it will be about how she treats them. Even though at this rate, "Discipline" is a less successful album, I think if she tours for it, it will be hard to ignore.

She's touring. At least as of right now. I know it for a fact.

Lets just let go of the fantasy that she will be performing ANYTHING - I repeat A-NY-THING from Damita Jo or 20 Y.O. A-not-a-happen-ing!

We will get "Feedback" and "Rock With U" because they are already choreographed. I am sure we will get "Discipline." Not sure what else from the new record. Not much!

Mark my words.

Thank you! Those albums are red headed stepchildren to her!

From Ellen's website:

Then, the Queen of Pop, JANET JACKSON will drop by! We'll talk about her new world tour. There are rumors of a possible Jackson 5 reunion -- I'll have to ask about that. Plus, she's gonna treat us to her new hit, "LUV!" And we will be giving away tour tickets to our audience, and on our website we're giving away a pair of tickets to each of her upcoming shows! Plus, I'll have an "Extra" bonus.

Her new hit "Luv"? That song came out on R&B radio right after the album's release and went nowhere....I hope this means they are going to make a real effort to get it back out there again. Cause at this rate, Janet will only have one song that charts on the Hot 100 from her album. Both DJ and "20 YO" didn't do that bad! I hope there is a video. This sounds pretty positive overall.

They sent it to Urban and it went Top 20 without any push from Janet or the label. I hope they do a multi-format release with a video and performances.

Regardless, this is all positive news.
