pop music is a young(er) woman's game. Janet's sold more albums than Billie, Ella, Sarah and Dinah combined and as much as I love'er, Janet's entire output couldn't match one album from any of them.

This is a website devoted to an '80s icon so it's only natural there's gonna be special interest in artists from that decade, but really you should not be lumping Cyndi Lauper in the same category as Janet WACKson and T'Pau. Check out this performance with Patti Labelle. I don't think anyone could see this and deny her talent.
