A new audio technology developed by the records co-producer, T BONE BURNETT, called CODE basically is a HI-DEF resolution that restores the authentic sound of the orignal masters, meaning, no layerings, overdubs, and all that stuff that gets 90% of artists in todays TOP 40 away with miracles. Its just a way to get a more clear sound to live recordings, without using artificial layerings. The record due out on 7/15 are 14 new tracks from Mellencamp, his 22nd album, and yet another indie-release from him, this one to be out under the HEAR label, which of course is owned by Starbucks, so his record will at least get that McCartney treatment as he well deserves. Despite the already controversial tracks like "JENA" and others on this record, Starbucks is releasing it without blinking an eye, the album is recorded with Mellencamps longtime band, its an even more stripped sound, stand up bass, guitars, grooves etc... The new cd will be a double cd priced as one, the second cd is using the new CODE technology and the one cd is in the normal sound to show the difference and introduce this technology.

Yup i cant wait to hear this one. I really enjoyed Freedoms Road. Not many people in the UK know of Mellencamp but i think hes vastly underrated. Ill be getting this one when it comes out. Hopefully it will be a big hit for him with T Bone Burnetts involvement.
