One of her best singles from the 80s A touching tribute to Marvin Gaye,Written and produced by Lionel Richie, who can also be heard on background vocals.

Yeah, love that song... especially the part starting at 2:00! But I prefer the live version on the "Greatest Hits Live" CD!

Awesome song and tribute. I like the part where they show video of them together.

Where is that concert footage from?
I know they had some problems back when they were recording their duet album back in the 70s but there was a love there. You can tell Motown was like a family "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

You can tell Motown was like a family Marvin was living in Belgium when Diana toured there in 1982 at Brussels. Marvin happened to be one of the attendees there and Diana eventually got Marvin to come on stage where he danced and sang with her and embraced her much to the delight of the audience. I don't know what Marvin was singing when Diana was holding him. Despite their differences, Marvin and Diana loved each other like brother and sister. [Edited 5/7/08 22:29pm]

I've been listening to this song quite a bit lately. Beautiful song, one of Diana's best. So sad what happened to Marvin Gaye...PBS was airing a documentary about him last night. Cant believe his own father shot him! MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent
