I remember her 1979 hit "So Good,So Right".I always thought it should have been a bigger hit music

Her career really took off in the late 80s.One of her tunes,"Dinner With Gershwin" was recorded by Donna Summer in 1987 and became a Top 10 R&B hit.Then,a year later,Brenda was enjoying her own big hit with the excellent "Piano In The Dark".She followed it up with another outstanding ballad "Get Here",which was covered by Oleta Adams a few years later.

While I love Brenda's work, It took me this long to find out that she actually did If Only For One Night first, and its no shock that Luther did a ton of cover songs but that was a top choice on his part.
