I remember this song  It's from 1983.They performed it on the Motown 25th anniversary special (yes,the same program that featured Michael Jackson's historic performance of "Billie Jean").
speaking of Jacksons....a year or so later,LaToya recorded her own version of "He's A Pretender".It appears on her 1984 album 'Heart Don't Lie'. | |

Yeah i've watched that performance of them performing "He's A Pretender" many times. I especially liked when they brought out Debarge and they performed the song together. I think it was one of the highlights of the show. I didn't know Latoya covered that song though.
