I remember that song. My uncle loved The Deele and this song. I liked the music but the lyrics were stupid. The title alone was like

I loved The Deele.

Calling them corny is missing the point! They were mushy, sweet Velveeta.

I liked this song (when it first came out). It didn't age well, though...but still a great song.
