You must have shed alot of tears as a prince fan. I have lots of friends who cant stand prince but Im not going to say to them you cant have that opinion because I like him and how dare you express that opinion as it is different to my own its known as an adult dabate. You know what makes me sick?
Germs & viruses. I don't know why. They just do. Always end up giving me a cold or the flu or something. Sometimes, I may get a running nose, but that usually tends to be more due to things like allergies & whatnot. But yeah... I know where you're coming from. Though they're not exactly similiar to yours, I too have my own suscepitibilties to physical ailments. I wish I din'n, but I do. I just chuck it all down as one of these things that I don't why it has to be this way, but try to accept it as God's will or somethin, & then just reason it all out that the He has some kind of plan. If you dislike Madonna, then don't listen to her music. Or if you do listen to it, just listen to those empty parts between the songs. That's what I do. And looks where it's gotten me as far as my likability on this forum. No one really pays me any mind, but at least they don't hate me either. Well, as best as I can tell. I mean, I've never gotten any threatening org-notes or nuthin like that, so I'm just asuming it's because I haven't sparked off any negative attitudes from anyone around here. But, considerin that this whole org thing happens on line, & that we're all separated from each other by the massive wall that is the internet, that just ends up being an assesment/judgement call that I'm makin' from a distance. For the recrod I like Madonna, and like a lot of her songs. But I've never considered her much of an artist, and her provocative image was a one-trick-pony. I mean, outside of stretching the boundaries of what a woman should behave like in a male dominated industry, she doesn't really say much of anything on her albums that merits much attention IMO. She's just a pop star--an entertaining one, but a pop star none the less.
It always cracks me up though that gay men rally around her like lambs to the slaughter. I mean, lawd, (I'm stereotyping here), gay men have such good taste in so many things, but Ghey musical taste when it comes to Diva worshiping is always so goddamned campy.
However, I don't actually understand all the 'Madonna hate' that she often receives, either; Moreover, I actually don't think she's lacks enough talent like...say, Ashley Simpson, to merit so much disdain. But then again, I'm a hypocrite about such things. I mean, Janet Jackson is one of those relatively untalented singers that I absolutely despise. Unlike Madonna, Janet has been coached and benefited from some very famous friends and family since childhood, and still manages to release nothing of any interest to me. But like you, rolling, I should be entitled to exressing my extreme disdain for her without it being labelled as 'bait' or misconstrued as a judgement against her actual fans on this website. I don't hate Janet Fans--just Janet herself. It's a blanket of hatred I wrap around myself gleefully actually.  | |
