Producer RedOne is spending a lot of time in Las Vegas these days, supposedly working on an album with Michael Jackson, which he can’t talk about.

“Honestly, I’m not allowed to talk about Michael at all,” says RedOne, who was born Nadir Khayat in Morocco and now calls Los Angeles home. “I just love him. I’m a big fan of his. There’s something going on, but I can’t talk about it.”

What RedOne can say is he’s spending a lot of time in the recording studio at the Palms.
“The studio, it’s incredible. The sound is amazing,” he says. “And so is Las Vegas. I love Las Vegas. We get a lot of peace of mind in Las Vegas. It’s very nice. It feels good working in Vegas. It’s very convenient, so close to L.A. It’s like a dream world that helps you musically and creatively.”

whats up with the silence , i dont get why nobody is alowed to speak about it. but if he continues this pace, dr dre , guns and roses will have there album out quicker then michael

here we go again another producer "hints" that he is working with Michael and yet he can't give out too many details,lol.

Why doesn't Michael go on his official site and issue a statement? Let fans know what's going on.Why be so secretive about it?

Michael worked on Invincible from 1998 to early 2001. People were coming out of the woodwork talking about how they were were working with Michael, throwing out songtitles and everything. Sisquo said he was doing a duet with Michael called "The Gloved One", only to find out he submitted the song to Michael, but he turned it down. Coolio, Will Smith, and ALOT of acts came out saying they were working with Michael, then we found out around mid '01 that the main producers on the album were Rodney Jerkins and Teddy Riley with additional work with Babyface, R. Kelly and such

That's why I keep pointing out to the over excited fans that a lot of these names they keep throwing up have actually done nothing more than SUBMIT tracks to Michael. In the case of Akon they often get over excited and start talking in interviews about Michael, and the result is his fans get confused. That's why you've got to be able to read carefully when these people are talking.

The press goes and runs with it and the fans definitely get confused, especially the young fans. The older fans say the same I'm saying, they're only SUBMITTING tracks and are used to people running to them to collaborate, but that isn't the case with Michael Jackson

The young fans say "OMG, he's submitting tracks! They're gonna work together! YAY!"

Hell, at this point in MJ's career, he should do a vault type album that covers his career from The Jacksons to present. That way, he can get some more cashflow and possible have some big hits. "Love Never Felt So Good" could be huge with the right mix.

I know there are tons of J5 songs that were unreleased. They recorded around 1000 songs (or more..Corey knows) during their time with Motown. That's why they released all of those MJ compilations in the 80s with new trax.

I wish they would release the Victory tour on DVD and cd. That would be soo cool. Especially to commemorate the 25th or 30th anniversary of the show.

I think it's clear now that Akon is to MJ's new album what Rodney Jerkins was to Invincible and what Teddy Riley was to Dangerous. The majority of everyone else who have said they have worked with MJ wont make the album while some of them like will.i.am, Ne-Yo and RedOne might have one or two songs on the album. But Akon's the main dude helping out MJ. Lately we've been hearing less and less about will.i.am and more and more about Akon. Will may have been MJ's main main this time last year, but Akon has taken over now. Akon said himself something along the lines of "I'm pretty much doing everything on MJ's new album" and Ryan Seacrest (whether you agree he's a reputable source or not) said MJ has hand-picked Akon to mastermind his new album. So I think it's fair to just ignore every other fool that comes out saying they are working with MJ. Akon's working with MJ, and will.i.am has worked on some stuff that might be on MJ's new album. Everyone else are just Wyclef Jean types IMO.

Some people never learn. The only person who's hyping up Akon's role on MJ's album is Akon himself. He was also saying similar things about Madonna's album this time last year and nothing ever came of it. RedOne's quote sounds far more credible than Akon's over-excited nonsense. And Ryan Seacrest? Is that a joke?

I doubt Akon will be masterminding anything. I'm not buying that Akon is gonna be the main producer on the album. I mean MJ likes to work with established producers so why would he choose Akon of all people to oversee his new album? I think Akon is much too arrogant and has talked way too much about his involvement, which is something I don't think MJ appreciates. I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't end up making it onto the album afterall.

Someone sent me this La Toya interview, where she talks on Michael and him working now and it does not sound like he "really" works. I don´t know when this interview took place though and she looks bad in this one.
