Wow, talk about a whirlwind romance! So Mariah casts him in her music video, they fall instantly madly in love with each other, date for about a month and feel that they're destined to be together forever and so then they get tatoos of each other's names...Nick proposes to her and 5 days later they tie the knot...only 5 months after he and Selita Ebanks called off their engagement.

I dunno, I'm happy that Mariah's happy and elated and all, and I hope that this union lasts. On the other hand I do feel that they jumped the gun too quickly. I get the feeling that Mariah was swept off her feet by Nick and they're both riding high on the waves of emotion and elation, they're definitely both over the moon for each other right now, but what happens when the honeymoon is over? Are these kinds of feelings they have right now gonna last? Will their love be able to stand the test of time and the tests and trials that life may bring? Only time will tell. But I think 6 weeks is way too short a time to date someone before deciding that this is the person you want to spend your life with and raise a family with. I dont know anything about Nick Cannon, but it seems like he's no stranger to the whole dating someone for 6 weeks before proposing to them thing...



Hopefully things will be different with Mariah and they wont end up in divorce court. I wish them both the best.
