I feel like I spent every day of last year just listening to his tunes over and over again...oh wait...I did. I cannot even begin to listen to his biggest hits and even the lesser known stuff..nothing's new anymore. I must admit Prince is a great artist to "discover" but he's hard to stick with.

oh yeah, TLC. I couldn't get into 3D at all. I heard it at a friend's house and it wasn't doing anything for me like the first 3 albums, so though I love them, I'm not interested in their current work at all.

You should investigate their live recordings and the robert plant live shows. I can see why he doesn't want to go back. His stuff with the Strange Sensation band is superb, different shows every night. Check them out. I've heard a lot of live stuff and I'm STILL sick of them. I have 3 bootleg DVD's, and probably 5 or 6 audio boots. Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

1)Prince---Since he has gone more mainstream. I actually preferred the "wilderness" years of 1994 (Come) through 2001 (Rainbow Children) when he did what he wanted to do, even if the public did not get it.
2)MJ--Actually grew up a fan of his music first, but outside of the occasional spin for Off The Wall, I avoid his stuff like the plague. 3)Queen-I love these guys to death, but I had a 1 year stretch where the were the only band I listened to. After a while, my interest waned.... 4)The Beatles-I have an appreciation of their impact, but listening to them has` become a chore of late. "Old man's gotta be the old man. I never really get burned out on my favorite artists.I go through phases where I mainly concentrate on a particular artist or band. Then I move on to another favorite artist, and so on.This keeps me from getting tired of anyone's music.

I haven't listened to the radio in friggin years. And when I do listen to a certain artist's music, it's only cuz I really want to hear it.
If I'm not in the mood for it, then I don't. And then, I only listen to the songs I want to listen to, not the entire album. This type of music-enjoying behavior prevents me from not only getting burnt out of certain artists and/or music, but also, seriously handicaps my ability to properly respond to threads such as these, & thereby, substantially hampers my ability to connect with anyone here on the org & develope any kind of a friendship wit' any of you foo's. The only person I have to talk to about music is my girlfriend & her tastes in music sux. I'm only with her for the sex. I have this bad habit of overlooking her taste in music because of her taste for my cock. However, I do realize that there are people thru out the world with much bigger problems than this, so I try not to complain about it too much. In short ( I know i know...."too late"), you guys just go on ahead, skip over this post & y'know... carry on. I'll just sit here staring at my as-usual empty org-note box & cursing the insatiable fire that burns in my loins. - God's blessings to you all, The Mighty Celestial

MJ and Prince - not that I don´t like them anymore, but I haven´t listened to them in a while. I am dying to hear some new grea stuff from both of them, though.
But I´ve read recently in one book that in order to maintain one´s love for some music you need to take a break from it. I wore MJ an Prince to death few years ago, so I am enjoying the break right now. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I listen to everything from 1979's Prince to 1988's Lovesexy. I just realized those are the exact ones I made sure I have on vinyl too. I also enjoy The Time, Sheila E, Vanity 6, Apollonia 6 and most of all The Family. Never tire of those.
