I think when recording this song Mariah told them exactly that she wanted a Cherrelle and Alexander oneal sounding song. DIrecting what the snares and all should sound like.

It is a really great tune and one of the last great hurrahs of Jimmy & Terry going back to their old sound. THey need to take those instruments out and do them all over again....and thus..it is completely original. Love bumpin this in my car

I did. That's why I ask you, why is this song so great? You state your preferences in music a lot. Since I don't understand your preference, I'd like to know what it is you like about it. It really isn't that hard.

and stop being such a a-hole

I didn't know I bugged you that much. This is just the second time I asked you to illustrate your musical taste. You never answered the first, yet I apparently get on your nerves.

I'll leave it at this for now, but I will be back, I do reaaallly want to understand (without being a a-hole). (Well, kinda! wink (:wink:smile:) )

I do not have to explain my music taste to no one.

Ah yes, that was your reply the first time around. Is the hostile undertone meant to be there or am I reading too much into it?

Hi, pp4. Nice to see you're protecting other orgers, but there is no need to. I'm not attacking anyone.

@ both (apparently): This is a place to discuss music and hopefully have a little bit of fun while doing so, isn't it? I asked you a question (tongue in cheek), you obviously didn't & still don't want to pursue the conversation, that's fine. I'll leave it at that. If you start another thread about song this or that, you're in danger of someone asking you what you like about the song. Really, it's a forum. That's what people do. If you're really this upset about my tone, I'm perplexed. This is the org, I wasn't that rude.

A thread to bring attention to a forgotten song. Getting no replies. I mean, come on, can't you laugh about it?

The very information i got provided above about this song I got from a previous thread about this very song years ago, so no. The fact you being rude about it is irritating. If you havent heard it and cannot provide any detail why YOU dont like the song your post is irrelivant.

It's kinda weird to have this discussion with you now. You actually had a good reply to this thread. Matronik on the other hand did nothing for the song. We're talking about a song on Glitter, which flopped, so not many people might have heard the song. Stating it is forgotten doesn't add anything. Tell us something about the song, like you (pp4) did. Matronik is trying to preach to the already converted. So, me asking 'why' isn't a strange thing. Not wanting to talk about what you think makes music great on a forum about music is.

I remember loving this song and getting chills from it when I got the album. This song and the ballads are the reason I love Glitter. The cover songs were better in their original form IMO though.

Once again, I do not have to justify myself.

Hi! Weren't you called MikeMatronic before, or was that someone else?

No you don't have to. I won't ask your opinion here and now, but probably will on other occasions. Maybe then you will want to discuss.

But most importantly, I don't want you to justify or defend yourself, I want you to express your opinion. It was never my intention to offend or irritate. It's all in good fun!
