Because they work hard at what they do and sometime the artist is always out and about doing something but it gets no public attention.

Artists work hard, even at commercial flops. They can't calculate the public's reception. Often it is theAudience that is doing the "comeback".

Its just an over-used term, especially now. They are calling USHER's new album a comeback? WTF with this generation??? Heres an idea of what a "REAL" comeback is

Teddy Pendergrass coming on stage in his wheelchair at live aid after his accident that left him paralyxed

Gloria Estefan walking on stage at the AMA show after having a metal plate put in her back to make her walk and bend.

The NY Mets Game 6 in the 1986 world series down to their last out down 2 runs and winning.

Today every move is a comeback, its a marketing ploy to get you to buy a record, its all BS! So all these comebacks, MC in 2005-06, Prince in 2004 etc.. NOT comebacks.

Basically...
As well as the "pressure" to suceed that All artists have even at the Top of their Game..That pressure can go through the roof if the media/public is already putting you in the "Once was Hot" box !
