are you an album completist? even tho i am the only one listening to my ipod, i feel i have to complete most of the albums i have on there. or do you just get the songs you like? my ipod is a huge mess right now. its partly PRINCES fault. when i found a place ( which i believe has been royally put to death- correct me if im wrong in a pm ) i went about randomly downloading random songs from random concerts and it just completely junked up my ipod, i got songs all over the place. i know this thread is all over the place but damn. is ur ipod neat?

My ipod is extremely neat. I hate having to look through "songs" just to find something I wanted to hear.. and then sometime if you have a album and a couple other songs from one artist..those other songs will not show up until they are put on an album. Otherwise you can totally leave the albums off and just view the list of songs for that artist. You need to do a whole night of editing. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Mine is neater than it used to be. What messes me up is when I do the "smart" playlists for music by decades, and the album info contains the date of the reissue or remaster, not the actual date of release. It took me an afternoon or so to straighten that out. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

i put on the whole album, even if there are only a couple of songs from it that i like. i have the space for it, and who knows - one day i might be bored and listening to shuffle play, and i'll discover a song i never appreciated before that i suddenly like. it's happened to me a few times!

It's better now that I've got a hard drive that can fit all my files onto. It's still a bit messy but they were all over the place with tons of dupes (I've got 11000 plus songs)

There was a really simply program I used to get rid of dupes where the track was 'dead'. Maybe try this.
http://dougscripts.com/it...edeadsuper I think what I had to do was throw everything into one folder, if the files have dupe names then they don't have to be copied. The problem arises when you've changed the names in i-tunes and the file has a different name, you just have to trawl through and delete one by one.

All it does is make a face and rattles when I shake it. It's not under warranty and even if it was I don't think it's covered. So f**ked off! I still have a working 30GB photo but it doesn't have video and it only fits half of what I've got. Better than nothing but I need a new one (I want to wait for a ipod touch with bigger storage)

It's called playlists people...do it by band name...do it by mood...do it by Prince's dirty, nasty-ass funk jams...but JUST DO IT!
As far as dupes, spend some time to make a playlist that doesn't have any...

I even like keeping myself busy with it! Now, let's talk about my cd-collection.....
