Maybe if it was mentioned in your first post that Barry White is in need of a kidney transplant, and not just blurt out wondering if he's dead, maybe peeps would have not been hard on you. It's like you were trying to be funny in an underhanded way. Unfortunately there are too many peeps like you on message boards who love to do that. Blanket statements without backup information leads to that kind of reaction, whether intentional or not.

What is so sickening is how peeps revel in their ignorance. ALL rap music is violent, ALL rap music demeans women and only talks about materialistic things. If you knew anything about rap beyond what MTV, BET, and the national news shows, you would know that #1 Rap is much broader than that, and #2 It is not all the same content-wise. I'm not an avid listener of rap, but I at least allowed myself to look beyond what the media and record companies have promoted and glamorized to know that there are many different styles of rap. Heck, if you know anything about music at all, then you would know that multiple styles are in practically every genre. More than anything Run DMC's music didn't promote violence. They do talk about materialistic things like tennis shoes, but it was all in fun. They promoted non-violence and unity. They are probably the least harmless rap group ever. Sorry for ranting, it's just been annoying lately. I've been reading mess on Yahoo message boards...really racist, ignorant statements. ::Sigh:: That's America for ya.
