He sings "Get down, beep beep....gotta get up outta your seat" on "Beat Goes On" I know you're a huge Neptunes fan...what's your opinion of their work on 'Hard Candy'? Oh yeah "Beat Goes On"... that new version... I like that one a lot. I find "Give It 2 Me" unlistenable just due to the choice of drum and synth sounds. "Heartbeat" is good, don't you think? I don't see lots of discussion on that one.

You know how "Miles Away" has that break with the loud ass drum machine claps? I kinda wish the song would go into a new freestyle beat for the rest of the song. But it just goes back to the original beat. Probably better for radio, still excellent.

"Miles Away" is my second favorite song Warners would be insane not to release it as a single. The song is gorgeous! Seriously,I didn't know that Timbaland could produce something this melodic and tuneful.

Hey, where's sosgemini? He's a big Wendy & Lisa fan! What does he know about all this? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

That is my favorite moment of the whole album that is still growing on me...Pharael and Madonna singing 'Wendy' and those funky guitar licks...
that part makes me smile! Every minute of last night is on my face today....

I played that song like maybe 10 times today. It's also my favorite song on the CD. It's gotta be a single too. That would burn up the dance floors of the world. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Hard Candy is good...
It is easy to listen to the first time But it also has that special something that will grow on you. Those don't usually go together. She's Not Me isn't my favorite song on there but everytime I think I'm ready to move to another track is when it gets funky. Actually I feel like almost every song on there is a song I almost want to skip after listening to half- but then something hooks you in until the end. And it's all because of WENDY. I love how they give her a shout out. It's a shame she gets faded out five seconds later. ---- There ARE two clearly terrible songs on there but other than that, Hard Candy is solid. ---- I especially like "Dance 2night". Like most of the tracks, it doesn't show it's true genius until right after the chorus is sung for the second time. Dance 2night, in particular, combines a lot of great Pop styles. I feel like I'm listening to Michael's Thriller, while Madonna does a little bit of Vogue mixed with some general 80's pop, while Prince plays a song he finally let someone else produce... (and I never saw it coming but you won't have to look any further than the FutureSex/LoveShow movie to see that JT is the refined Prince for the new generation after all... Who would have thought it) The best part of Dance 2night is that those styles are slighty separated, but move to a point where they are meshing. As soon as it gets to that point TIMBALAND strolls in GTA style and changes the whole thing up- and it completely transcends whatever hotness that song had just attained. Honestly, like Timba was standing on the sides listening to the great legends collaborate and then just took over saying "Fuck all y'all!!" I love it. It's been a few albums since I haven't had to put in a little bit extra effort to acclimate to Madonna's new music. I think she's made some great songs in... say, the last ten years... but Hard Candy is the first album in a long long time that is just so easy but deeper than you'd expect. her whole album is like hard candy. It's sticky and sweet but... Her sugar is RAW [Edited 5/2/08 23:28pm] Starrfighter
