I couldn't care less what songs from his past he releases.

What he needs to release NOW is an album of classic r&b tracks, uptempo, mid-tempo, and ballads about love, dancing, etc. Forget the beat-chasing with the current/hot producers and all the bells and whistles. Forget all of the bitter, angry "why's everybody always pickin' on me" whine-fests.

It's obvious from about half of Invincible that he's still capable of putting together some really understated, good songs. Why doesn't he? That's where any appeal of Invincible lies. So why not capitalize on it. If he opens his new album with 3 almost identical tracks of ear-splitting, nerve-grating, teeth-gnashing, mess of deathstar beats like the last one, then I'll know there is absolutely no hope left for him and his music.

If I had the same attitude towards Prince I would have put him on a scrapheap already. For me, since New Power Soul, he hasn´t released anything powerful really, so why not treat MJ the same way?

no, but Prince did get back to basics and doing what he does best. that's all i'm asking of Michael, because what he's been doing hasn't worked.

I think Hot Fever may be a demo of The Way You Make Me Feel, which was originally titled The Way You Make Me Feel (Hot Fever). Another song Michael recorded for Bad was Bumper Snippet, which he also re-recored for Dangerous, but so far hasn't been released.

Bumper Snippet is actually only 15 seconds with Michael simply saying "Girl I Wanna Grooove!"

The second version is from 1990 and includes different sounds and voices mixed together

That's right !

Ellie, do you have Greg's version? I haven't heard it yet.

Yeah, I'll send it to you tonight. It was Greg's version that was sampled on that Goldie Lookin Chain song "Your Mother's Got A Penis"

Would you send it to me as well, please?

Exactly. The last thing we need now is another rummage through his 'unreleased' tracks to see if there are any half-assed demos from a quarter of a century ago that can be desperately stretched into a song.

He should either release new material along the lines of what the poster above suggests or announce he's retired - those are the only two options available to him that'll let him preserve what little dignity he has left.
