The concert was great! and yes, Larry most certainly brought out the snake when he sang freakshow. larry had on a sequenced gold suit w/shoes to match, hair blond, and the yellow snake. He is one brave man because he put the snake's face in his mouth and when he pulled it back out the snake's tounge just came out firing--I was like DAYUM! he did all sorts of stuff with the snake. pretty snake too. I thought about you vainandy when they performed traffic jammer.that played for about ten minutes! I tell I don't know what it is about that song, but the bass and the words just fit and I can't get enough of that song. Then there were bass solos. the first song they performed was boogie body land. this is what I remember them playing: boogie body land, hit and run, she talks to me, your place or mine, traffic jammer, freak show, anticipation, attitudes (people went crazy),sexomatic,(I think) holy ghost, slide (I don't get that song), let's have some fun, shake your rump to the funk, plus they passed the mike and let some do other peoples songs like cause I love you, and one other. songs not done or wish I could have heard:-o freaky behavior, do it let me seee you shake, ruunin in and out of my life, son of shaft, up in here (since dmx used it), trippin out, I can't believe you're leaving me,I lean on you...,you can't run away, MOVE YOUR BOOGIE BODY , too hot to stop, shine, son of shaft, certified true. there were others but I can't remember, but other than that the show was terrific, seeing that they only get so much time. are you being real yup down to two original members. James Alexander can play a mean bass. I wonder what happened to the original members that came along after the originals were killed. here is a cool website that lists their cd's with covers http://hem.bredband.net/f...logo99.gif and I have listed a lot here. [Edited 4/21/08 8:00am] The band downsized in the late 80's consisting of larry, winston, and harvey while james and mark bynum produced other acts. James also worked behind the scene in music in other capacities. The downsized barkays released two more albums for mercury contagious and animal before there contract there was up. The guys took a much needed break before reuniting with all members past and present in the early 90's. James was interested in getting back in the game with the band but only james, larry, and winston decided to carry on with some new blood. Winston stuck around for a while before deciding to become minister of music at his church. Drummer michael beard has his own band called soulfinger. Mark and lloyd smith are still involved in music. Frank Thompson played with cameo for a while. I don't know what harvey is up to. Anyway it sounded like a great show. I would love to hear them play boogie bodyland. I love when they play attitude live. I will try to catch them somewhere this summer. Don't laugh at my funk

I saw him do that the first time I saw The Barkays live back in 1985 when they were really wild. That particular night, he had just a regular looking python but he put the snake's head in his mouth. He put the snake's head between his legs from the back and let it dangle from the front like it was his dick. He put the snake on the ground and let it crawl for a little while, then he laid down on the floor and humped the snake. Then he picked the snake up and licked up the side of it. I saw him another time in 1999 and during that time, he had the regular python and the yellow python...both of them wrapped around him and crawling on the stage.. Another thing Larry does sometimes is fire. He will snap his fingers and a burst of fire will appear from his hand. I thought about you vainandy when they performed traffic jammer.that played for about ten minutes! I tell I don't know what it is about that song, but the bass and the words just fit and I can't get enough of that song. Then there were bass solos.
I've heard them turn that one out for a long time also and the drunk asses at the concert were just a'shakin'. Mine included. Andy is a four letter word.

Mine included. he made the snake look like a sizzing dick huh I didn't know he had the snake routine that long! and did all that back then? I couldn't be that brave.I am surprised. and yeah, he sure did do the majic fire from the hand that night. I tell you what--I was shaking for all the barkays fans on the org. I think I was one of the few who shook hard to that one. There was one guy there, dressed like a woman with a walker. he pulled his dress out and did the ass shaking til it fell off. I forgot what song it was. nipsy
