The REASON these guys are hot is because they are constantly working. Trying 2 schedule studio time 4 several "HOT' producers can take MONTHS. Most of the guys don't just drop what they are working on and come running 2 MJ. He has 2 get in line just like everyone else. Some guys are BOOKED 4 months at a time. I think that partly has to do with it. The funny thing about this project is that most of the collaborators who say they are working with Michael probably won't even be on the album. I remember when he was working on Invincible. There were so many people saying they were planning on working with him and were working with him, and nothing came of it. From what it looks like, the main collaborator is Will.I.Am, and I don't have a big problem with that..... unless Fergie's retarded ass shows up on the joint. Then me and Timmy have to make a trip to Vegas to give a much need ass whuppin' "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. As for the producers thing, yeah, I don't think the majority of them will have their record released by MJ on an album.

Slash said in a recent interview that Will.i.am was only working on Thriller 25 and had nothing to do with MJs new album. He said that Will.i.am told him that MJ isn't even recording at the moment.

I read that but that doesn't match what Will and Keith Harris recently said And Michael was recently in the studio about a week ago Maybe he's working on Off The Wall 30 "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. The Slash quote only confirmed that. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I really don't think MJ gives a toss about making new music.
I don't believe he'll release any new album in the next few years. He just doesn't seem to care about it anymore. Sad but true.

Yea, but the impression that I have is that he's lazy as hell From Ne-Yo: Ne-Yo: I got to meet Michael and we talked about what he wants to do and what he wants the sound to be for the album. I've been submitting songs to Michael for a while now, but he's been very selective and picky with the new album. care to give a translation, Timmy? I know he has kids and I'm sure he's a good dad, but what about work? Look at Madonna still going strong and still being there for her kids.
And I don't want to hear excuses about how hard it is to get other people to work with him, no one else has a problem with releasing albums every 1 to 2 years.

I remember reading on Okayplayer how Questlove said that he tried to "save" Michael back in 2005 when he was in talks with LA Reid, but the plans to sign with Island Def Jam fell apart.
He also said older artists want to do it THEIR way instead of trying something new. How Stevie wanted to him to do drum programming but not drum "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I like ?uest's stuff, but he's a bit of a jerk. He said that he and D'Angelo were discussing what they could've done with Invincible and I was thinking "D'Angelo's work ethic is just as bad as MJ's!" All Michael would have to do is just sing the song. That's hardly hard work. What it shows is that Michael is a tease. He's stringing these guys along. The mofo is not serious about doing a new album.
