Anyone seen Rage post-regrouping?

I'm gonna see them at Reading this year, so was wondering if anyone knew what to expect?

I'm pretty fucking stoked; didn't get into the band until after they split and was pissed I didn't get to see them live...well I guess now I will.

Nope! Unfortunately not! Saw them in '94, '96 and '00... they kicked ass... especially in '94... hopefully I will get to see them on their reunion thing... unfortunately they don't do any concerts near me! They only do a festival and I don't really want to go to that, besides it's on a weekend where I'm going to another concert... I will have to see what I'll do about that!

Reunited RATM is way cool, but they've been doing big events like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza Coachella, so I just copped some live feeds.

He's also teamed up with Serj (system of a down) to form Axis of Justice.

Didn't see em myself but reports were very good last year - sounds like if you liked em before, you'll like em now.

There's performing here in Chicago in the summer!!

will see them at the Pinkpop festival, end of may....together with the Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Metallica,and many more!

They are AMAZING live and one of the few bands that I get more and more angry as the show progresses.

i might watch RATM from afar when they're at lollapalooza this summer. i like a few songs from their first album, but not enough to brave all the knuckleheads in the audience who will be bashing the shit out of everyone while the band sings about peace and tolerance.

Personally, I can not stand Zack de la Rocha's political rants, I do like the energy of the band....

Morello's got a gig at Troubadour Tues nite. Word is
Ben Harper, Slash, Flea, Perry, Cypress, Maynard from tool, and other members of rage are either confirmed or tenatively scheduled.

So "backwards baseball cap crowd" are actually the people who understand the message. Those people seem to be the last of the intelligent ones who understand what Zach is writing about and actually give a shit.

PFunkjazz, let me know how the show goes and what unified message they deliver. I'm sure it'll be about the occupation of a foreign country/countries.

Interesting. Morello, Harper, Slash and Obama are all bi-racial. I know Ben came out for an Obama fundraiser. Expect Morello to be "in pocket" too. Should be something going on after the Dems nomination mess gets resolved.

As far as hypocrites, before you start pointing fingers, check in with reality first, we're all hypocrites on some level. This band wouldn't have gotten air play and touched as many people (including the original poster) without proper distribution.

i saw RATM not to long ago and they still rock as hard as they always have. i'm pumped they're back together cuz theyre one of my fav bands of all time


And I saw Tom Morello (The Nightwatchman) live too and that shit blew my mind

I like them for about two songs, and then it's all pretty much the same.

There are plenty of political bands that work in indie rock labels, they are hypocrites, because they say we live in a capitalistic world and fuck capitalism, when were run by a capitalistic org.
