Christ, hearing this song at work alot over the last few weeks, but its grown on me though. Its just so happy, and I know US charts would have none of it (which is foolish as I love this song). Got a big 80's feel goin' on in vibe and attitude (i.e not ashamed of being cheesy and fun). Love it.

You're right, it's getting a lot of play in the UK. Christopher posted it in a "Listening to..." thread not too long ago and saw that video. Great for spring This song is drenched in General Public's Tenderness, and unabashedly so. [Edited 4/15/08 7:09am]

Hey, I kind of like that. One of my myspace friends posted a bulletin about them, but I was wary because 10... 11.... 12? years later he's still completely obsessed with the Spice Girls (and even has a Posh haircut ), so I wasn't sure if it was worth bothering with.
Might check it out now. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Great influences on their myspace. Totally hear all of them (including Junior Senior in the male vocals). I love happy as hell Danish pop music.

Love it. I totally agree. US charts ain't gonna have none of this song (which is a shame) it's so sonically bright, it can singlehandedly get us through the recession! .... What are Alphabeat's new album tracks like, then? Answer: literally quite good. Their album's been out 'back home' for a while now so they've given the whole thing a spring clean, booting out some old tracks, tarting up some others and introducing some new ones. 'Touch Me Touching You': is a frenetic electronic sort of thing. 'Go-Go': sees Alphabeat channeling Chic with a big "I can't stand up, I can't get down, down, get down go go" chorus. If you like Alcazar this will be 'up your street'. 'Rubber Boots': is a slow one with loads of atmosphere nicked off Magic FM classics like 'I Want To Know What Love Is' and has a chorus of "go put your rubber boots on, your rubber boots on, your rubber boots on". The second chorus replaces rubber boots with mackintosh. WHAT THIS IS ABOUT IS A MYSTERY. 'Boyfriend': has been competely reswizzled from the Danish version and is now faster and synthy, thus 'danceable'. 'Public Imagine Ltd': is a rather odd PiL track which Alphabeat have made sound a bit like 'Virginia Plain'. That's: your lot.
