Lauren Hill MTV Unplugged

I was thinking about buying the dvd, and if I like that, I'll get the cd as well. What are your opinions on it?

since i liked her first album so much i gave this one quite
a few chances but never could remember any of the songs when
i'd finished playing it. the only track on it that i like is
Mr Intentional.

I liked Lauren Hill Unplugged, she gets personal and so RAW, she was wearing her heart on her sleeve with this recording. I LOVED it so personal and REAL! Some of my fav cuts are as follows:
Mr Intentional
Adam Lives in Theory
Oh Jerusalem
I Get OUt
Mystery of Iniquity
I think its worth the buy and worth a listen.

I'm just about to sell my Unplugged DVD. I've played it maybe 3/4 of the way through once and kept skipping. Loved Miseducation, don't know why she couldn't play any tracks from that.

Learn 4 chords on a guitar, tape yourself playing them randomly while talking and occasionally singing mumbo-jumbo.

Loop that recording, and save your money.

songs were okay, but since they were new and there wasn't a context for how they were supposed to sound in whatever version they were meant to be released, they all ended up being kind of unmemorable and same-y sounding.

plus, she cried and blabbed for the whole thing. I gave it a shot, but I just ended up being bored by it.

totally HATED IT
upon first spin...

didn't hear it for years
(burned copy was mainly used
as a coaster in my dorm room.. no bullshit)

and so... a friend of mine kept
telling me how great it was
and woopty woo...

so, about a year and a half ago
I gave it a second chance
and it's one of my favorite albums now
I'd love to get that DVD as
I didn't catch it when it aired
not near as brilliant as TMOLH
but if you like Lauryn, check it out

some of it I can do without
but it is SOOOOO worth it for
"Gotta Find Peace Of Mind"
and "The Conquering Lion"
and of course "Mystery Of Iniquity"
(so dope Kanye sampled it)
